The style you're drawing in right now actually reminds me of video games more than it does of toons. I like that, I think it's a very unique style, and if you keep practicing, trying new techniques, and learning from your mistakes you'll definitely be on the right track.

If you want to make more realistic artwork, though, you can get some art books out from the library to help you with that. Wolvenblaze already suggested observing human anatomy, either by reading books or simply trying out poses in the mirror. But furries are blends of humans and animals, so after you start to understand human anatomy you can try working through a book on how to draw wildlife. That'll show you how to draw animal heads, paws and talons, fur, scales, everything. As for armor, that might be a bit harder, but if you have a particular style in mind maybe you could print out pictures of it and trace until you get the hang of how all the pieces fit together?
