can you guys help me. i really want to improove my art. i have long dreamed of draing my guy dragore in his full battle armor. pluss him with his famlily. it makes me sad that i have to ask people to do it for me. van you guys help me here is a sample of my art. its my DA account the works the look like they were done on a skechbook are mine the rest are gift art

Your Kobuk is really cute!  Anyway, my advice depends on what style you want to have.  If you're looking for a toon feel, then Sniffswind in right.  If you want a more mature style, then you can study the human body a lot.  Look at yourself in the mirror (watching others might seem a bit creepy).  Examine how every body part is shaped, how they're all connected, and how the shape changes as the parts move around.

I've always had trouble with armor, so my advice there will be limited.  Just keep in mind that armor is usually made up of many, many parts and plates that connect and interlock.

Your facial expressions are cool (even though they're all pretty much happy).  Definitely a good place to jump off from and create some really nice work.

No it's not.  And HTML isn't valid on this forum anyway; that's probably left over from when we imported everything.

The style you're drawing in right now actually reminds me of video games more than it does of toons. I like that, I think it's a very unique style, and if you keep practicing, trying new techniques, and learning from your mistakes you'll definitely be on the right track.

If you want to make more realistic artwork, though, you can get some art books out from the library to help you with that. Wolvenblaze already suggested observing human anatomy, either by reading books or simply trying out poses in the mirror. But furries are blends of humans and animals, so after you start to understand human anatomy you can try working through a book on how to draw wildlife. That'll show you how to draw animal heads, paws and talons, fur, scales, everything. As for armor, that might be a bit harder, but if you have a particular style in mind maybe you could print out pictures of it and trace until you get the hang of how all the pieces fit together?

It sounds like you're off to a good start, though!

As said before, I can see that you're taking a toony approach. If you're not, then you should really change your means of practice. On the other side of things, you just aught to stick with this approach, because you've already gotten quite far.

I once heard that to draw anthro, it helps to learn human and animal creations, respectively. Makes sense though, I think.  But good luck, and keep drawing! The only way to improve is practice, practice, PRACTICE!

well on the realalistic stuff no i want to draw more toony stuff. and thanks for all the sugestions. my art teacher says that it just takes practice. and it takes time i have a problem with rushing myself and she says slow down and take your time .same with my friend rodney he says take your time. they are right i think. a lot of the anthro art i see ((non yiff)) looks like it takes a while the level of detail is just breath takeing. and i really want to draw dragore in his full battle armor with battle damage such as scratches and dings. pluss cuts and scrapes on his face. he is a fuzzy dragon and how would i show scrapes on that.

Arrgh!  I have some experience with scars and scrapes, so I direct you here.  I also briefly discuss how to embed scars into fur.

Yeah, my scanner works, but I haven't installed it yet because I'm a lazy bummer.  I promise that I'll fulfill all of those scanner-centric promises I've been makin'!
