Just wanted to get this little trick out there, learned this one from a friend of mine, and it really helped me out with my linework!
If you've got a tablet that feels like it has a really smooth surface and is preventing you from getting the linework you normally have on pencil and paper, try taping a sheet of paper down to your tablet

What I did was tape some paper over the drawing area and a little off to the sides of it, then mark the edges of the drawing area with a pen

Now when you go to draw you'll have a rougher, more resistant surface to draw on, which should help ALOT with stylus control

I'd suggest putting a new sheet of paper on it each month if you're using the tablet alot, you'll leave some indentations over time on the paper from harder lines, and they might make the paper a slight bit more slippery after awhile, but nothing severe.

ps: regular printer paper works best, just cut it to fit on the tablet and tape down all the edges
