Hmm...July 4th...
I will be 18 I will have graduated from high school I will be living out of this house and with a more accepting mother ( as of yet does not know I'm furry, but Im confident she would take it well. She took my raving well and knew about the drugs and sex "misconceptions" )
Sounds like perfect conditions to get myself to AC, but I am still unsure if I will show up. That's seems like a lot of money for someone just starting out in the world. I may still be on shaky legs financially, and if it will set me back in that aspect, I may miss this year. Who knows, though, It's still a year to come, and a lot can happen in a year.

If anybody does make it to AC next year, I would recommend registering as a Supersponsor. For $200, you get all sorts of cool perks. Some of which are: * Coupons for free or discounted meals at selected restaurants. * Pre-registering early for the con means you get to pick up your badge and other goodies in a shortened seperate registration line with minimal waiting time when the con starts on Thursdays. * Coupon for a free AC tshirt and/or other goodies at the Con Store in Hall A or B. * Invitation to the Supersponsor Luncheon on Saturday with the Guests of Honor, as well as Uncle Kage. * Supersponsors get "first come, first served" seating during performance events.
IMO, I feel the perks are really worth it, particuarly the meals. I saved myself a lot of money by registering as a Supersponsor and using the restaurant coupons as well as going to the Luncheon.

That sounds like a good idea Kobuk. I will keep that in mind if and when I do go.

I forgot to mention, but only "pre-registered" Supersponsors get to go to the Luncheon. If you don't pre-register as a Supersponsor, you can't get in to the Luncheon.

You make $21k and you can't afford Supersponsor? You've got an entire year to save up!

You make $21k and you can't afford Supersponsor? You've got an entire year to save up! Beacuse i usually spend like 200 on food and stuff from the dealer's room and commissions. My ac usually ends up running me in the 500 range, when all is said and done, which is a lot for a man in my position. Jus sayin'.

Welp, not doing this if it's going to be the same weekend as G-Con. I can't blow off my own convention.

More than likely, I will have to skip this con. I don't have the financial resources now, nor will I next year, to go to this con.

If I can start working this month and can get caught up in bills, I will be going. This will be my first convention. I have to pay for bus to get there and back. I know I would have to save up a lot.

So far I only have 2 of the at least 5 days I need to go to the convention off. If I can get at least one more day off approved, I'll try and make a getaway appearance for one day. If it wasn't on 4th of July weekend I wouldn't have this problem. If my work shifts are not in my favor and I only get those two days off, there is no feasible way for me to even enjoy one day. I hope I don't have to write this year off. It'll be the first year I miss it!!! Oh the woes of finally being a Full Time worker Also, if I do make an appearance and can figure out the workings, I might see if I can perform in the Masquerade.
