My brother was on our computer the other day and he found a search i had made. i'm not going to type the full search in but it included the word 'yiffy'. When he asked me about it i paniced (sorry 4 spelling) and pretended i knew nothing about it. he still has his suspicions and i was wondering wether anyfur has and advice 4 me. please?

Someone once mentioned the word to you so you thought you'd look it up to see what they were on about.

It really depends on how you think your brother will react and how much you think he'll care.
If you like your brother but know he'll either react negatively or tell someone in the family that will, you can do what Sabu suggested and say someone told you the words to look up and state that you weren't too thrilled with the results.
If you don't care about what your brother thinks, but do care what the rest of your family will think, you can just deny it. If your parents come to you and ask what the problem was, just turn it to mean something else by saying something like: "I've called [brother's name] a horse ****er before, but I've never told anyone else he was." In other words, throw out an inuendo that will imply your brother's just trying to get you in trouble.
And if you don't care what your brother or your family thinks, just give him the Gilbert Godfreid: "YOU GOTTA' PROBLEM?!!!"

I used to be more shy about this kind of thing left on my computer. My advice? Have a good argument ready.
1. It's none of your frikkin' buisness or 2. Do you look at human porn? It is fake crap, that the actors do really not enjoy, and is often painful for them. The only reason they stay is the pressure and money. You enjoy that??? So don't complain about art, it does not hurt anyone.
(Side note: Not that I have any practal problem with porn or similar, it's just fun to make someone think twice about what they just said, assuming they even would care)
BTW, while I don't leave anything yiffy or similar in nature on my comp, I sure the heck don't care if someone sees a furry type of thing. If someone asks, I just tell them about it. No big deal, buddy.

Wow. A lot of anger on this topic.
If someone were to ask me, I don't think I would tell them "It's none of your frikkin' buisness" or threaten to expose one of their secrets.
My advice would be confrontation is never the best option... especially with those you live with. If you treat furry as you would any other interest (rock music, tattoo, boggle, vidgames, whatever), most folks will just assume it is one of your "odd" sides. If at all possible, keep it light. I have found that making a joke of such questions eliminates the situation.
Remember, your family will not really want to know if you are "strange". They will ask, hoping for a negative answer. A non-answer or joke will often side-track the issue. You can also get by with answering questions with questions that make the topic seem silly. A: "Are you a furry?" B: "What do you mean, 'furry'?" A: "Those folks who dress up in suits and have sex." B: "That sounds unusual." A:"It is" B: "Guess you're glad I just watch cartoons. I don't think Bugs Bunny would be considered furry."
It won't eliminate their suspicions, but neither will it give them confirmation of something they really don't want to hear. It will let you keep the topic open to light discussion allowing you to better discover where their prejudices lie and them to discover it is not some evil force invading your life. (A rude, violent outburst, which often happens when drugs are involved, would only confirm that your new interest is driving you away from them.)
