Erm, hi.
I'm WMDKitty, I'm an American Shorthair with silver and black markings in a classic tabby swirl. No weird hybrids, wings, or magical powers here. Just a house-cat.
Some of my hobbies and interests (outside of the obvious) include gaming (PS3, DSi, PC), reading (mostly sci-fi/fantasy), cats, and I've been involved in activism for disability rights, LGBT rights, and women's rights -- in short, I believe that basic human and civil rights apply to EVERYONE, regardless of age, ability, race, religion, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation, and I want to do whatever is within my power to do to advance that cause.
Yes, I am disabled. Yes, I am female. And yeah, I'm in the "B" part of LGBT.
I'm also extremely blunt, and often sarcastic. I'm not one to censor myself. I'm not one to care about "social norms", because social norms so often exclude, implicitly and explicitly, those who are different, the "Other".
Oh. And I tend to ramble on quite a bit once I've started -- feel free to tell me to shut up if I'm going on and on and on and on (rather like this...)

Shut up.... Just kidding bro, don't worry about it. I admire that rights thing. I hold a very similar belief. I try my best to live by PLUR. And about the not censoring yourself. I am sure you may know this, but this is a family friendly site. So no sorts of "vulgar language" is really allowed. Not even self-censored stuff. I am certain you knew that already, but you know, you just can't be absolutely sure on the internet. Anyways! Welcome to the site and have some fun! PLUR

I've been furry since I was a tiny kitten, before I even knew what "furry" was, man. I have always identified as feline. As you can imagine, there was much social awkwardness and weirdness. I think my parents have finally just given up and accepted my feline nature. (Silly humans!)
Yes, the WMD is for "Weapons of Mass Destruction". It's... you could sell my digestive tract to the military for use as a bio-weapon. And I have a temper. I've mellowed out a lot the last couple of years, but the right combination of stressors can still set me off.
"Family Friendly" -- I'm assuming that means no linking to George Carlin's brilliance when he's said something far better than I ever could?

As much as people from the respective countries would disagree with me, and they are different languages, Chinese and Japanese share alot of the same characters. I recognized that character from Chinese, so I recognise it as a Chinese character.

The meanings, however, aren't always the same...

O.O Incidentally, the ancient Kemetic (Egyptian) word for cat would roughly come out as "mau".

Not surprising really. They geographically relatively close. It is said all Humans came from Africa, so common words frequent eastern languages.

Well, yeah. That and a lot of words for "cat" seem to come from the sounds cats make.
