(Well since April Fool's gave me a taste of RPing in a group again, I figured I should start a casual open ended RP here. Play your own fursona or a different one. No real rules other then the obvious of don't be a controlling jerk. Setting is a park on a warm spring day. Have fun.)

Martin, grateful for the end of the cold weather, headed out to the park. He looked around at the flowering trees and felt the warm sunshine. Content, he found a nice bench and sat down to read his book.

Shim woke up, looking around from atop the tree branch he had fallen asleep on, noticing a change, as the leaves had returned from the trees.  He hopped down from tree, had a look around, realizing spring had come. 

Martin looked up from his book as a fox landed next to the bench he was sitting on. He glanced up and realized the fox had probably come from the branches. "Lovely day." Martin said politely, a bit unnerved by the sudden appearance.

That, it is.  Warm, finally too.  I don't recognize you..do you come here often?

Martin shook his head. "Ah, no. I'm new here. Your planet has lovely flora." He held up the book, which was a book on Earth plants. "I've been studying them you see." He looked back up to the tree the fox had dropped from. "Is sleeping in trees common here?"

Still half-asleep, he didn't pay attention to every word. Yeah ^-^, well, some do.  Its pretty dispersed.  Some like to sleep in a warm, safe bed.  Modern, urban, other synonyms for things I'm not a fan of  .  I sleep among the trees though---Planets?  Realizing what the stranger had said  what?? 

Nashee strolled into the park, long skirts swishing at her ankles. It was a nice day to be outside, with spring in full bloom. It was nice to be outside again. She had enjoyed the little cat naps she took inside, but stretching her legs was nice. She walked up to the edge of the lake and sat down, looking into the water.

[Seeing this is apparently in a warm location, Avan is in a lizard form right now]
*strolls into the park with a small, rather sleepy looking puff of a wolf pup [small puppy! I'll name him Kawaii for cute, and in keeping with the abnormally high number of wolves and huskies I've encountered with names starting with 'K'] on his shoulder*
*sits down on a bench and lets Kawaii run around, but he just stretches out under the bench and sleeps more*

Martin blinked at Shim and repeated himself. "I'm studying your planet's flora...you know plants?" He held the book up again as if this would explain everything. The insect twitched his antennae as new arrivals joined them in the sunny park. He returned his attention to the fox. "I'm one of the collectors you see. We've come to study you...or rather your world, not you. That would be strange." Martin fluttered his wings in nervousness as things didn't quite come out as planned.

Nashee's cat senses start tingling. She turns around to see a little wolf pup running around chasing the butterflies. Rather than be a normal cat and run, she walked towards the pup. She sat down in front of him and called him over. "Hey there wolfy."

*Kawaii runs over to Nashee and cuddles happily*
*Avan look up* Hi there! I see you found Kawaii. *chuckles, observing the puppy's antics* He is... very kawaii, hence his name. He's utterly harmless - he just likes to cuddle.
*gets up and walks over*

"Collectors?  Of what?"  The look of curious delight in Shim's twinkling eyes showed no sign of intelligent sentient thought "You're an alien  ??"

Martin nodded. "Er..yes." Berating himself for not reading his assignment a little more closely he realized that maybe this planet didn't see much in the way of alien life. "We collect information, knowledge...we don't take physical things, or we try not to anyway." He blinked and realized something. "My name is Martin"

", we don't get many people like you..Are you supposed to be undercover?"  Again, no thought of worry, or any confused thought, simply curiosity.  "Are you allowed to be talking to me >.>?" Shim notices the other two from across the park and waves a hand-paw

*waves back and walks over out of curiosity*
[to Nashee] Feel free to play with Kawaii.
[to Shim and Martin] Hello. [Turning to Martin] You from offworld? I'm not exactly native to this world, but I'm not exactly an offworlder either.

Martin was concerned and starting to rethink his position but figured it was far too late to back down now. "Yes, I'm from offworld. Apparently I should have tried to be more discreet." He shook his head, no matter. "Where are you from?" He looked over at Shim and reassured him. "You're in no danger from me talking to you, I'm hoping the reverse is true."

[switching to the 3rd person format everyone else seems to be using]

Avan paused, thinking about how to phrase his speech. "My people and I didn't evolve here; nor did we settle here from off-world. I created my people; my own origins are unknown - I simply found myself here - perhaps one day I will find out... We do have limited inter-stellar travel if you were wondering." He stopped, thinking for a bit. "I presume you have faster than light travel, do you not?"

  "..don't understand..Why is this normal >.>?!?!?!"

Avan turned to Shim noticing his confusion; "Eh, don't worry about us. You hungry? I might have something you'd like to eat."

"...?"  A 5 year old, he might as well have been, drawn in by a sentence like "You hungry? I might have something you'd like to eat" "..I didn't do my morning hunting yet  , but I guess that means I could have a day off from doing it "

Avan pulled out a slab of meat, ripped off a bit for shim, and then proceeded to eat the rest.
Avan handed shim the ripped off section. "Here you go! So you hunt for your food? Interesting."

"Thank you <33. Okay, I'll make the effort and speak like a regular person   .  I live around here, in the surrounding forest area >.>.  I do my own hunting.  You silly people can live in your warm beds and have the comforts of safety ;o"

Nate wandered up to the park, his eyes still closed from the lack of sleep, stumbling as he walked.

He sported a large blue sweat jacket that he wore no matter the season and clung to a cup of coffee that he must of gotten from somewhere down the street.
Nate stumbled up to the bench, pushed his tail to the side and sat down with a heavy thud.

He mumbled something on the lines of "why do the mornings have to be so bright?" and opened his eyes to make sure that he was going to drink from the right side of the cup. looking over he saw the the group of 3 having a conversation and decided to listen in.
Overhearing the sentence "Yes, I'm from offworld" he choked a little mid gulp spilling the bitter drink on his already brown fur.
Quickly he sat up and tried to shake off what he could. lacking a cloth he looked about in dismay. He sighed and decided to ask the "offworlder" for a cloth of some sort, figuring he was no threat being that he was trying to be incognito. Nate tapped the creature on the back.
"Um~ excuse me sir, do you happen to have a napkin of some sort?"
Nate put on a grin hopeing he was right.

"Any good interstellar traveler always knows where he keeps his towel. But great ones bring a spare. I have 42. Most are on my ship though."
Avan tossed over one of his spare towels to Nate.

"thanks"
drys and fluffs the wet patch in his fur. figuring the situation was not going to get any worse he summons the galls to ask a question given you dont meet an interstellar creature everyday he thought he would pursue a conversation.
"so~ aliens. that's cool, why the visit?."
looks at the book
"got your eye on some of the beautiful plants around here?"
flings the towel over his shoulders.


(thank god, hoped some one would get the towel reference. nice catch Avan!)
