The first issue of Allasso came out earlier tonight, and I have a story called "Fetching Asteroids" in it!  You can read it here:  http://pinkfoxpublications.net/fetching-asteroids/

I haven't had a chance to read the rest of the issue yet, but I'm really looking forward to it.  I read a sample of "Best of Breed" that Renee Carter Hall posted on FA, and it was really good.

I just read the Editor's Choice from this issue -- "Best of Breed" by Renee Carter Hall -- and it is very much worth reading.  She's an extremely talented writer.

As editor, it was great fun to read all the stories in the publication.  Just so people know, I'm currently accepting submissions for the next volume until January 1st, 2012.

Honestly, Renee Carter Hall is an amazing writer.  A lot of the stories in the collection are great, but hers shines.  Hall manages to create a realistic world that cannot be told without anthropomorphism while getting some deep messages across to the reader.  It's not a requirement in the fandom, no, but it helps set the genre apart from others Smiley
