Well… I’ve been trying to see what I can do with the 6DoF method for a while now, and what I came up with is not much, or good, as the car is extremely unstable, and is not very reliable at all.
And so much more work would need to go into a stability system to make the 6DoF based suspension functional, and controllable, that I would be better off having no dynamic physical suspension at all.
As I would need to edit / override the movements of each wheel and the car itself to such an extent that it would make having a suspension that’s based off of real-time inertia, rather pointless.

So I’m just going to stick with the raycast version for now, and fix what I can while working on getting everything working in the newer version of Blender.
Once everything’s moved up to the new version, then I’ll see about either modifying the raycast version to allow more control, using a different method, or a combination of different methods.

Thanks to all for the help and advice so far. Smiley

And if anyone wants to try the last version of the demo, the link is located in [This post].

Update for those who have been interested in this project…

My original plan was to take a month to rehash the game system, (Code, graphics, optimize what can be optimized, etc.), but that time frame has proven to be a little unrealistic.

I spent about two and a half weeks just getting the old code, (the version that was offered here), to work in the new game engine using the newer python 3.x architecture.
It is working in the new system, but it's really just the same version that's available here, it's just running in a new game engine.
And the time I've spent on code work doesn’t include the time to rewrite the code to add new features, or to better organize things to allow more realism, control, etc.

Also, I’ve spent about a month re-meshing / re-modeling the car, and it is nowhere near finished, and I still have the rest of the track to redo for the graphics upgrade.

So that’s basically it, I’m still working on it, and the next version will come when it comes…
Hopefully not too much longer, but it will be a little while.

And if anyone wants to try the last version of the demo, it’s still available and the link is located in [This Post].
