How is this question different from asking a gay man "would you only date another man if he was gay?"

Well, one is a sexual preference, and the other... wait, is this a real question?

My mate isn't a furry, but is totally cool with my furry antics. I often joke around and roll on my back, expecting tummy rubs, which they are eager to give. For me personally it doesn't matter that the person I'm dating is a furry or not. I still might assign an animal to them for fun anyway. >:3

I don't care whether the girl I date is a furry or not. The important thing is that their attitude towards you is patient and tolerant.

Short answer: They don't have to be furry, but they do have to be able to accept that I am a furry.

My last girl friend was probably the only person irl who I've told about the furry fandom. She didn't really think that much of it but unfortunately we broke up soon after because we were both moving to different universities and couldn't do a long distance relationship.

The sort of things I'd like in a girl overlap a lot with the sort of things people involved in the fandom are like. So it's prefferable :p

Would I date someone who was not "furry"? Sure. So long as they don't have an issue with me enjoying some furry-ness and some con antics and whatnot.

If they have an issue with it, then it just wouldn't work out in the long run, anyway, because they likely just wouldn't get along with me and my life well - I have too many plushies and animal-related objects and such around me. It just kind of part of me at this point, and it ain't goin' nowhere. haha

I've dated quite a bit casually and have only had two serious relationships. Being with a furry feels no different than being with a non furry, it's just a nice topic to discuss with them and it's cute to rp with your fursonas; I never really saw why it mattered
