I've ordered a buncha pewter 25mm miniature armatures, and I plan to make furry characters out of them

http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/armature/sku-down/75001

Thinking of doing the obligatory fox for the first one, maybe a skunk for the second....hoping to do a dragon for one of them if I can craft the wings

any ideas welcome!

I think you should do two sets, the wild furs and the civilized furs. The wild furs would be more bestial, have primitive weapons, and wear furs and pelts. The civilized furs would be more anthro, have more advanced weapons, and wear armor. I dont know if you could do that though. Kinda complicated.

not really, I could just use some bits from other miniatures on the same scale for the armor until I'm comfortable with molding them, and the weapons are pretty easy

I agree, just change heads and add tails, there's your furry mini.

But the so the thouh of what you plan to do. a near pure scratch sculpt, seems realy crazy.  I've tried my paw at sculpting and it is a insanely hard thing to do at any level, consider that the that site has a has alot of top notch sculps of were-things that fit the bill of furry realy well.

Either way, I only got idea right now other than tigers, a horse antro but with non-human feet/legs.

A chance to show of my painting, even you don't use them for futty, they're still awsome.

it doesn't seem too hard to me, I've done plenty of sculpting in the past, hopefully my hand will still be there.

I've watched a few videos of sculpting techniques from pros, not to mention I've been HEAVILY converting my warhammer army into an otherkin horde, alot of epoxy work there

I'm a HUGE fan of Dave Summers' work, he has made some phenomenal models over on Dark Sword, all very furry
