Here in Az, a gas line broke and now there is almost NO GAS at all and when a gas station has gas the line goes around the block. I'm not sure if this is in the news because I dan't watch it and it's only a Arizona issue but I just wanted to see how other people would react.

Welcome to our forums, WolfJester.
I tried your link for your home page and this is what I came up with:
" Unavailable Angelfire Directory Angelfire does not allow the automatic listing of directory or subdirectory contents.
If you are the owner of this Angelfire site, and you want these pages and files to be accessible to visitors, you must create an index.html page that links to them, or direct visitors to an alternate main page."
Any idea what is going on?

Jadnar, I understand what you are saying. Given the Mexico/Canada choice, I would say go to Canada. Why? Well..true we don't usually hear much about Mexico, unless it is drug or illegal border crossing news. But, that's what would make me choose Canada. IF things are so quiet newswise there and yet so many people are risking their lives to leave and come to the US, what is it exactly that they are running from and finding it worth their lives to flee from? I would rather not find out. Besides, on the screwed up country issue.... why run away to another country? Take a position, get involved, and make things change. But then, I have never been one to back down or leave anything I see as mine (like my place of residence) unless I deem it appropriate and it is happening on my terms. I guess you could say I am a bit territorial. :-)

Every country has problems. As River stated, there are a lot of people leaving Mexico for America and Canada. Canada has it's own issues as well. I remember travelling to Montreal on business when Quebec was considering breaking away from the rest of Canada. Some of the Scandinavian countries seem to have everything worked out, but the have two things going for them: First they are very small, less than the size of one of our states. And second, almost everyone is of the same ethnicity and religous background. When I was in Norway they said that 94% of the population was Lutheran. Not even Christian, but a specific denomination of Christianity.
Also remember that we always see the worst stuff in the news and never hear anything of the good that happens. Bad news sells unfortunately.
We just need to work on fixing the problems we have here. There will just be a different set of problems if we go somewhere else.

It's no problem Jadnar. Everyone gets frustrated now and then. And most people will also point out what's wrong and where things seem right or better. The thing which really makes a difference though, is whether the person keeps talking or actually sits down and figures out something to do that will change things for the better, even if it seems insignificant. All the little things add up and can become something great. And it works both ways unfortunatly, little bad things adding up to a monster problem and little good things leading to a positive change. Trouble is, as someone pointed out above, negative publicity sells. So the bad is often concentrated on more then the good. Perhaps things would be different if it were reversed. Any takers on pointing out positives for every negative thing you think of? Try it and see what happens. :-)
And as for the teenager comment. Don't look at your age as a set back, instead choose to see it as you having more time to change things and more flexibility in forming your own opinions, as many times older people have trouble changing their thought patterns due to habit.
