I'm surprised no body linked to one of the more infamous unlikely friends, Ao-chan the snake and Gohan-chan the hamster. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IG4kceZBWA
This happened with my family. Our first snake, a large albino corn snake, once refused to eat a mouse and would happily swallow down other mice put in his cage but not this one certain one. The two seemed to be friends, the mouse would fall asleep in the snakes coils and they'd be seen together quite a lot.

Sadly the mouse one day drowned in the snakes water bowl. Sad

Cute!  Does that make Kate an honorary ungulate?

Either that, or Pippin thinks she's a canine. Cheesy

Also,
There is a website for them, http://www.kateandpippin.com
There's more pictures, videos, etc. if you want to see more, (but the photo gallery doesn't seem to work). Tongue

My tomcat used to play with my brother's retrievers. If they ignored him, then he'd claw them in the flank. He bopped one on the head in rapid-fire cadence--w/o claws.

Back in 2009, a weeks old bobcat kitten and a days old fawn became friends after being rescued from the Jesusita Fire in California.

The look on that chicken's face...  It is hysterically funny.  This may be the funniest picture I've ever seen.

Here's some more information about the cheetah and the dog, including a bit of video: http://www.treehugger.com/endangered-species/friendship-between-cheetah-and-dog.html

I'm really tempted to write a story based on them.
