Basically as the title is :3! I'm just curious, I know there are humans that collect things, and~ I also know there are Furries that collect stuffs as well ^^! I was just getting curious as to what type of things one might collect.

As for myself, I collect Feathers. The VERY first feather I found and decided to keep was that of a Blue Jay :3! It was just SO pretty of a feather that I felt like taking it home and putting it somewhere lol. I don't really get out much...but when I do~ I'm always sure to keep my eye out for a feather or so ^^! I've been collecting Feathers for a long while now, I would say close to...hmm twelve years xD! Wow, that seems like a long time lol, but at first I wasn't really looking for them or minding if I had said feather on the ground or not. As of now, I put my feathers on my wall haha, I know I have over 100 Feathers and some are realllly pretty :3! I even have a feather from a Turkey xD that was randomly in my drive-way one day!

When I was younger as well, I use to collect Pokemon cards! I still do, but it's more rare now lol :3! I probably get one pack of Pokemon cards every three or so months xD just saying. I want to "catch them all", and I'm really close to doing most of that.

On a side note :3 plushies are probably a big thing for most Furs, neh? I have a lot of plushies also ^^! I just started to get more Skunk ones, but really =p my plushies I have~ I guess I wouldn't or shouldn't really say I'm "collecting" those ^^a hmm.

So, what are y'all collecting? I'd like to read some stories of how you got started or anything along the lines of that! I'z very curious =D

I only collect dog stuff. Mostly toys and plushies but I'll buy anything dog related. I started to collect dragons too a while ago but I lost interest before I even got started good. I've been collecting dog stuff since I was a kid.

I like to collect a few different things. Probably my most interesting collection is my video game console collection, which has a few things which are tough to get down here in Australia such as my Virtual Boy, PC-Engine, Famicom (both super and otherwise) and a few handhelds that I have from Japan and Europe. I like to play each of the systems, though I do not do so as much as I would like due to time constraints.

I also collect programming books, particularly ones that are pretty specialised (because that makes them a bit more interesting than simpler texts). I have two bookshelves full of books on different programming topics, mixed with a little bit of fantasy fiction just for variety's sake Tongue

Lastly, I like to collect music (CDs, tapes, records). I'm not sure how many CDs I have, though I know I have at least 100 cassettes and about 50 records.

I used to collect tennis racquets, specifically wooden ones.  Before that, I also did collect Pokemon cards (I had no idea how to play though  Upside down ).  As of now, I don't collect much of anything simply because I have no place to put it.

At the moment I collect uncut, cut and un-set gems. I even have a nice display tray for them, but I have so many I can only show about a quarter of them at a time. I've got mostly garnet (one of my favorites) and topaz (another favorite), but I have some fancy topaz, labradorite, and opal mixed in. I've even got one tiny little opal still in a rock that I found myself!

Other than gems I have a lot of mineral specimens. Lots of druzy quartz (some that I found), some geodes, pyrite and peacock pyrite that I dug up, a bunch of quartz (including some with some really cool inclusions). My prize piece is a rather large and colorful cavansite I got at the Smithsonian. Tied with that is an enormous piece of bismuth. It's absolutely gorgeous, its got all these blocky spirals and is really iridescent.

Kinda similar to minerals is my little fossil collecton. I've got your standard ammonites and trilobites, but I also have a dinner plate sized chunk of rock with an unbelieveable amount of crinoids in it. I've got a few fossil fish and a nice piece of amber, and have been looking at the niceset fossil lobster I've ever seen for a while now. My biggest failure here would be finding a mosasaur tooth in sandstone at an antique shop on the east coast while I was there and not buying it Sad. First museum I went to back home had a collection of mosasaur teeth exactly like the one I had passed up.

Being in Arizona surrounded by a ton of mines and trash rock piles makes being a rock hound very easy Cheesy

i currently collect pokemon cards though im mainly focused on the eeveeelutions, when ever i have extra money i buy anything that cosists of eeveelutions or zorau and zoarork. For a while i was focused on getting anything Tekken related(when it was my favorite fighting game) but now i have stoped and went with SoulCalibur but havent bought much do to not much money and hopefully starting a small fursuiting business soon.
I also try to get any thing with wolves, i dont have any fursuits, bones, or real fur yet and dont know if ill ever be able to get the real stuff. But i have a number of figurines, pictures, and books, also my favorite blanket and suncatcher, suprisingly no plushes which will change soon if making your own counts Smiley
oh and feathers i love feathers, but i dont see many which may be becuase we live in the city, iv also lost many cus of all of the moving over the years, i have manage to keep about 10 feathers over the years a couple white duck feathers, some blue jay feathers, a couple im not sure of and my favorite crow feather its the biggest one thats why its my fav. I think my mom found the crow feather orginaly for saging purposes but said i could have it cus she knows i love feathers, she uses something else for saging now

I've been a plush hoarder for a long while but I'm trying to break that habit since they take up a lot of space!

Currently I'm starting to collect comic books, mostly Star Trek, Star Wars and Disney ones.
Also collecting Sheet Music to learn how to play on the violin. Learning to play an instrument more fluently is one of my New Years Resolutions! So far so good.

Now that I have a kitten, I'm collecting small jingly balls and pom poms but that is against my will!! Princess Talullah demands me to buy them for her.
Gotta do as the Princess demands!! Wink
Just got her a fun set of jingly balls that are Angry Birds!!!

I used to collect pokemon cards as well as the games, then moved to collecting Yu-gi-oh cards, then moved to collecting Magic the gathering cards, developed a small collection of model rockets, and rocks... yes rocks and crystals. I was all over the place when it came to collecting Upside down. Even tried collecting bottle caps for a while.

Nowadays though i don't tend to collect anything very specific, except when I go camping and search the place for various interesting things, bones, cool looking rocks, etc.

I collect toys! I've got a whole load of:

Transformers
GI Joe
He-Man
Power Rangers
Ninja Turtles

... and anything else I think looks cool. My Little Pony, Bucky O' Hare, A-Team, Thundercats, Star Wars, a bunch of random no-name toys and even a couple dolls. And plushes. And NERF guns to balance out the girly doll collecting stuff.

I also collect vintage video game hardware.

None of my stuff is really worth anything, because it's been played with and chucked around and, well, enjoyed I guess Cheesy

As a kid, I used to collect lots of things fairly seriously. But my favorite by far was my coin collection. I would actually go to coin shows to buy stuff from the dealers there, and I think if I were to sell everything I've acquired, it'd probably be worth a few thousand dollars. I also had a pretty baller mineral collection, if I do say so myself.

Now? Well, I'm kind of trying to get rid of all non-essential possessions, which is incompatible with collecting stuff. But my wardrobe is basically a collection of T-shirts I bought as mementos of my travels throughout the world. So maybe that counts. Wink
