*edit for updated rules 11-25-04*

Ok, there seems to be some confusion as to what can go where as far as fursons adult artwork/stories/poetry etc., on the Furtopia forum.

I hope I can clear this up.

Furtopia's Forum is rated PG-13. This means that any adult content can only be on a fursons personal website or in the adult section. You MUST be 18 or over to access this area.

We at Furtopia know that everyone looking at adult material is not an adult of 18 or older. If they do choose to continue to look at the adult material even after a warning then that is their choice and Furtopia and its members can not be held responsible for any problems that may arise from such decisions.

This is a precaution that the creators of Furtopia have opted to uphold.

*tries to understand*

Lemme see if I have this straight ... I can't post actual adult content, but I could post a direct link to it so long as, at least in the post itself, I put adequate warning?

Example of my trying to understand:

===
Hi!  I have a story I'd like to share.  It has some graphic violence and sexually suggestive content, so please don't read it if you are not of legal age or are squicked by such.  Its at http://blah.blah.blah.com/blah/blah.pdf
===

Would something like that suffice?

I don't envy the admin's balancing job.

Coming from a EU heritage, anything not explicitly showing penetration is PG-13 to us.

But then, you have to balance that against the far-too-many-out-there right-wingers, which think "A kid should be struk blind fer lookin' in da mirror nekkid!" (I actually heard that on an Opera episode)

Yup, hard to balance......

Here in the U.S., especially violent content puts a movie at Rated-R (liked "Saving Private Ryan," "We Were Soldiers," "The Fly," etc.)

Each province has their own system. "Saving Private Ryan" was PG in BC.

The adult description above needs redone as it's bassed on a old setup.  I'll let Kada fix that.

In answer to your questions: Adult/mature artwork/stories needs to go into the dedicated art groups set aside for them.  These forums show up only when the adult filter is turned off.
