I gots a mate~
He's adorable!~ And we've gotten really close.
(Erm. He asked not to be named, in case anyone on here might know him.)
BUT.
He's about 2 years younger than me. The only thing is he's down in VA but STILL. We're really close. Not official yet, But I'm hopeful.

My current mate Dusk I started dating before I knew he was a furry and I was ready and willing to make every sacrifice necessary to be unobtrusive about it and only found out he's an even bigger furry than I am XD I gave him my red fox tail as an anniversary gift of our second month together and he squealed in delight quite literally and actually cried when he lost it a few weeks later. Come Christmas day we'll have been together for exactly half a year. Honestly he's the only man in my state that has been worth staying with so I think that while being accepting of each other can be a good thing it is even better when you both enjoy the same thing.

I've had one mate since being officially furry and they were furry too. It may sound silly but I don't think I can imagine myself with someone that isn't a furry anymore. I'd just like to be able to express that side of me without any awkardness xD Anyway year, furry mate lasted a year and four months, my longest relationship but it wasn't to last. -sighs- Ah well, onwards and upwards and hope to find a nice furry partner again sometime |

Well Kinda and not. Its funny cause when i created my Wolf fursona. i never knew of Furrys and then i met the most lovely and sweet girl of my life.. Ive known her now for 8 months and we hope sometime this year we can meet in person. but for the point of the topic. I am kinda Fur. New to the fad and She does like furrys but she aint a fan like i am. But when i roleplayed my fursona with hers when they fell in love. we hoped to bring that to reallife. and i always teased her i would do what we do in roleplay ^^
Like watching sunsets.. Cuddling.. Nuzzling.. Loving each other t- Sorry im rambling. but thats my reply ^^

My mate is non-furry, although he's a big fan of Gargoyles. However, he knows that I'm a furry, and about all my other unusual pleasures. He even bought me my collar for Christmas. He also encourages me to do stuff I wouldn't normally do, like wear my clip on fox ears in public and buy new costume pieces.
So, having a mate who's furry isn't as big of a deal as having a mate who encourages you to do what makes you happy. And if you have other interests in common, then not being a fur isn't a big deal.
