If there has even been any sign of widespread furryness, Disney was it. In almost every movie, there are animals of some sort and in just as many, the animals take the spotlight.
With that said, which are your favorites? and yes, there are some non-disney one on the board.

Aloha! Robin Hood started it for me with a closing deal done with "Watership Down" (I had read this at about the same time frame). These were the two MAJOR factors that lead me to furry. '>

Although some of the films on the list were bettler quality, my personal favorite would be All Dogs go to Heaven. (I cried at the ending *sniff* ) I love that movie, and I'd like to watch it again somtime.
Second favorite, the Lion King. without a doubt, its a furry classic. '>

Fantasia- I loved the Pegasus scenes as well as the centaurs and fauns. I always want to cry when the one centauress is by herself when all others have mates.

Fox and the Hound is without a doubt my favorite Disney movie - probably even one of my favorite films period. I still cry whenever I see the last parts of the movie, and my favorite cutesy song is Best of Friends from it. '>
however, my 2nd and 3rd favorite ones are Robin Hood and Bambi respectively and indubiously. '>

hmm... did anyone remember "bambi"? well, i did. =p the lion king is a close second. little baby simba is about the damnest cute thing i've ever seen. =)
apparently, i pick on sheer "cute" factor, rather than how hot the main character is... =p =)

I wonder if The Lion King should be on the poll, since it was a 'tribute' (AKA rip off) of Jungle Emperor Leo (I believe is the name, I rented it once...). It kinda cheeses me off how people refer to it as such a classic when it was a huge example of theft.
Robin Hood got my vote.

Thank you agent fox! I agree completely! Good to see there are plenty of Disney fans on here, more than I expected.
And I guess, love it or hate it, stolen or not, Lion King is definitely an animated classic. Not my favorite, but probably Disney's last really good animated film.
And No love for Lady and the Tramp?! That's my favorite love story of all time!
Oh yea, I know about Balto and ADGTH, but CMON, those are the best, Disney or not!

Interesting poll. Had to chose LION KING... for it really is a modern classic. Yes Robin Hood is one sex-ee-fox-ee... and the Night on Bald Mountain monster is one sex-ee-de-mon. And of course Bambi is full of warmth. But those films all seem a bit dated now, so went with Simba, Timon and company.
Oh and as for the famed debate...

Yes, there are certainly similarities... and despite Disney's claim many a person working on LION KING knew of (and some even loved) KIMBA. However, the irony is that Tezuka created Jungle Emperor (aka Kimba) as a tribute to Disney's BAMBI. So in a way, Tezuka was inspired by Disney's Bambi, and Disney was inspired by Tezuka's Jungle Emperor. Talk about a creative circle of life!

I think that there were more conscienous connections with Hamlet and Lion King than anything else. I believe (or at least want to believe) any other sort of relationship must be accidental.

Just look it up on google and you'll find them, huge lists of everything in TLK thats just too similar to be blown off as coincidence.

Dumbo was actually my all time favourite Disney cartoon, because of the well-written story, but I saw another one on the list that is in my list, Fantasia, some of the most unsurpassed animated imagery ever produced.

Well i voted Robin Hood, but yeah there are so many other good ones too (mostly not disney though ).Two thers that are on the list that i like alot are Balto and aristocats. While im on the topic of Balto, i must say that i truely feel like doing something violent to the people who did it's two horrible sequills (i saw number two, not 3, too disgusted to buy/rent it).

Fox and the Hound would be second though; when I saw that (way back when I was just a pup) was the first time I ever got really hooked on a movie.
