I appear to have had a similar reaction as lots of other people around here. Since I recognized my furriness, I've become a lot more extroverted. I talk more, am more comfortable around strangers, and don't mind standing out in a crowd. I've even gone out wearing my ears + tail. I was quite conspicuous, something I tried to avoid in the past, but it felt great! I've also started to notice a fair number of my behavioral changes over the years that were more animalistic in nature, and embraced them. It's helped me understand a lot about myself.

I've certainly perked up a lot as of late because of it, I'm a very stressful and shy person. Though I can't say it's helped with everything. I will admit I've felt more relaxed than I had been, and a little more open. Certainly been speaking up a lot more where ever I go.
Suppose it was just connecting to another part of myself I didn't really know was there. But now that I have I just feel a lot happier.

Finding furriness made me feel less weird for liking anthro animals, for one thing, since now I know I'm not the only dude out there who does. Recently it also inspired me to start drawing more seriously. I found out that I can draw way better than I thought I could when I sit down and seriously draw, instead of just doodle on schoolwork. (Note here that better does not necessarily mean good ).

Furry has changed my life dramatically! It has givin me a reason for life, the friendships, the love and caring, the creativity and overall enjoyment I get out of being a furry and being around others is all I want. Im a very affectionate perosn i love hugs and cuddling you name it! The fandom is full of so many other affectionate people. Its full of open accepting and respectful people. It has helped me be who I am, it has given me support through rough times. And in times of pain in times of almost not being able to go on, remember the wonderful joys Ive had with the fandom, whether it me fursuiting at FC or just chating online, i smile and keep on walking. Furries are the most important thing in my life, i dont care if ill be rich have a nice house or car all i want is my furry friends and bf. Furry has given me a dream life.

I don't think it has changed me much if at all. It's just another interest. I dunno, maybe time will tell, but I have not see any differences. It's neat to read about how it changed others lives.

Being a Furry has change me in so many ways:
I've stopped being that quiet guy and more of that social extroverted guy that love to talk and hang out I've been able to be me more. It's given me more to do rather then skulk around here and there. So i'm happier more often. It's given life more excitement and variety...really pulled me from a slump. I noticed i do some very animalistic things, i often supress the urge to howl in public. I'm much more confident and care free although i guess wearing a collar in public requires confidence and carefreeness but that's just cause of where i live perhaps
So over all i'd say getting in touch with my furry side has changed me in so many good ways it's hard to belive how i lived b4 i embraced my Furryness

Being furry has changed me quite a bit. I'm now more extroverted than I was in the past. I feel more comfortable with myself knowing that there are others in the world that understand me. That in and of itself has given me a confidence boost. I don't care what others think of me, because I know that there are others out there that understand. That's pretty much the only change I've seen. I can't really see anything else.

Being a furry has never changed me. I remain myself, I never really 'became' furry, I think I have always been furry all along, so it didn't change me. However, talking with people who see themselves as furry has changed my views in different ways, but never has changed *me*.

It's made me more open and also made me a bit wierder to some people. And it's also helped me discover me a bit better, aswell as find a community I really do fit in with. (well, I post on a few other forums but I'm going to try and become a bit more active and familiar here :p)

Furry hasn't changed me... well besides being a bit more talkative. My mind was full of alot of bad things. But now alot of the stress the depression, anger, regrets etc... is gone. All that is left is all the happy stuff and boredom (Cuz you always get bored). Finally after 8 years of my life taken, it's nearly all fixed. I love it and being a furry is only adding more fun and opportunity's to meet people with the same interests. Found out a couple of days that an old friend is on the borderline of joining the furdom. So when i go to visit him on holiday i gunna get him in He was surprised when i told him i was a furry. He said he thought i wasn't into it. But i was, just because of all those problems, nothing was right. My life was upside down and turned inside out at the time. I'm happy, love the fun and art and i feel i'm going to be a furry for a long time. Everyone seems to be excepting me as it now. So that's another good point. PS: Sorry for rambling on

well it's part of my life now. I aint a "lifestyler" i'm still in the fan "phase" Can't make it a a hobby until i get my new pc then i can start drawing again. I suck a pencil drawing :S Well yeah i guess it has effected me alot. It's gotten me past the last few weeks of college. Coming home to friends and talking about a nice calming story or viewing some pics. Soothing. Oh also... i hardly look at yiff, like maybe a few pics a week. Not really bothered about it. But since i classed myself a furry, i think, nearly a month ago now. I havn't watched any human porn . (No i havn't replaced it with yiff) I just.. haven't been interested.

The only thing bad is I have dark throughts but I even did when I was a kid, just now they have grown recently to furry as anthro animals killing people (not my Coati though) as I hate alot of people but not the furry part that did that - oh no, they helped me get through though. Just my throughts are worse now. They made me not such a weak person which is good when I see others but the throughts I enjoy now; the only problem is that I am addicted to thinking like that and now it makes me feel like a bad person; I would never hurt anyone of cause but it makes me now stress and depressed about it. I use to get comfit out of it and anger, well I still get abit of anger out.
The good things that change me is that I don't have homophobia any more and I found out I can sew even though I never did much before it was talent I never knew I had until recently; I always wanted to sew but I use to think it was too hard but found out it is eazier then drawing even though I drew most of my life away. More excitement in my life as I enjoy making costumes alot, I use to stress over doing drawings as I always never seem to be able to draw a human pose for an anthro or human, now I just saved like a million poses from photos to help so I can to make it possible as I'm not so seriouss as I got my sewing skills to get good at so drawing dosn't torture me now so much so I can enjoy it because I have been drawing all my life I know I will always be tortured with a anthro or human pose and I'm getting better at understanding how to draw them abit now after using reference.
More accepting of people then I use to be but still hate some types of things that some people do that I hate them so much, I wont type it out what they are.
I am more ashamed about myself now, I see myself as a retard, you should see my hair! And perverted but I never look at anything perverted but tv if they have it once or something but don't care about it as I don't get anything out of it and I don't watch anything too violent and don't like tv anyway, it's only if my family watch it. And my family made me fell bad to start with but is nice to me now, I was mean sometimes anyway. And think I'm not good enough to live on.
Furry use to make me fell good about myself but backfired on me so I fell bad instead, hopefully that will all change so I don't feel bad about myself, maybe I might feel better if I do some studying next year, that is if I can still get free time in and is good at it to pass.
I think thats all it.

Well even in the short time I've been a self-admited furry my taiste in music has changed a lot (I can't stand korn for some reason while I find more upbeat music more attractive ) I wouldent say I was depressed before but I'm deffinatly happier . I'm much less stressed I'm making new friends and finding who I am . Maybe I'm taking this too seriously but every change I've noticed has been for the better

So before I made my fursona, I wasn't a very social person and didn't like to go places very much. I was also very quiet even when in a group of friends. So I made my fursona, a fun loving furry dog, and I'm using it to change my life. If ever there's an event or something that I don't want to go to, I ask myself, "What would my fursona do?" and the answer is usually "go." I want to be like my fursona and I think it is helping me to change my life for the better.

Been one since I could remember. Just never knew the name for it. So I guess I haven't changed ALL that much. Although I have become more accustom to drawing ears and tails rather than just humans. >.< I actually turned most of my friends to the furry side which is so much fun~ n___n I love those guys. :3 I think maybe this has given me a little more courage when talking to people I don't know very well.

So I made my fursona, a fun loving furry dog, and I'm using it to change my life. Exactly the same with me, except for the slight tweak on the species hehe. Changed me alot...im more out-going, alot more social, 180 o from my old timid-nervous demeanor and habits, and i just feel better about myself. Also doesn't hurt when you and your best friend are hiding that "secret" of being a furry from each other ^^.

Talked to so many types of people. I'm a lot more willing/able now to distance myself from my own point of view to look at what someone else has to say (an unbias point of view... ect...) Also, like i mentioned earlier... it really has been motivation for me to learn a lot of things... like, how to draw, for example... Got me writing a lot more.

Being a furry, has changed me in a lot of ways. I feel a lot more better of representing myself. I used to thing very low of myself, and now, I can get right out there and be proud, and represent myself proudly. Though, as I was younger, I was a very anti-social boy, I kept to myself a lot, and I didn't have much friends. I hung round the ants and the dirt when the children went outside to play. Though, being a furry now, has changed me a lot... I have been now outgoing, and am eager to make tons of new friends.

Like Konu and Sky Striker, finding my fursona changed me more then just being a furry. It's made me more comfortable with myself which helps me in my day to day life. It's also given me a fandom that I don't feel any pressure in and a place I know I will be welcome.
