What does your Furtopia residence look like?
« on: December 26, 2008, 09:31:17 pm »
In the past, we've always had threads about where your real self lives and what your real home looks like. But now, here's a fun little thread to ask and show where your fursona lives. :)

Where does your fursona live? What type of residence do you have?

As for myself, I live in a log cabin here in Kobuk National Park in Alaska. (Yes, there is actually a park by the name of Kobuk.)

Nicholai is a computer and electronic engineer working at a NASA facility underground.  He manages ground-based communications and and administrates the facilities broadband network. He lives in a house nestled in a forest, a relatively small abode compared to the intermittent opulent residences that dot the area.

dragore has two homes. one is where his family lives. dragores technicle real home is a large pokemon ranch on the planet dragonia.

kinda like this. but there is a mid size home on it. and there are no animals in the barn there is a jet instead. the animals are in special encloses.

dragores second home is the ship Eternity the ship is huge about the size of a star destroyer a bit smaller but not much. this is what the ship looks like.

Jay lives in a quiet, small manor house somwhere in the green hills of hampshire giving him time and peace in witch to carry out his scientific reserch but still be in contact with friends and loved ones

with woodland saround's

it would have a large librery and a reserch facility all with high tech-equiptment and modern desighn but still have the manors old charm

i went to a place like this in the summer and imediatly fell in love with the place, i'v always loved southern england and its beauty

I have to say I love the Rockies! They may be a bit colder than my preferred comfort, but they're beautiful! :)

I'm not a churchgoer, but I've always had a facination with cathedrals.

I'd like to live in one.

And to make sure it fits my sneaky personality and love of adventure, I'd make sure there were lots of secret passageways.

Here's my "mansion" in the woods, a few miles down the dirt road that leads out of furtopia.

When not in my high-rise trailer condo, I live, here, in my vacation cabin, in Montana.

I wasn't really sure how to answer this question at first, but then I figured... if our fursonas are idealized representations of ourselves... then clearly they get to live in the places we most want to live IRL, right? 8)

In that case, this is where I live!

I live in an apartment on the third floor of a house on Jánská, a quiet dead-end street tucked away in the Little Quarter of Prague. There's not much space, but it's cozy and comforting. :) And the house itself is gorgeous, with red flowers and intricate black-and-white paintings all over the facade.

A closer view of the house:

I'm only one block away from one of the main tourist thoroughfares in Prague, yet my street is still amazingly quiet... possibly because that "block" consists of about a hundred stairs going straight down. :) If I walk one block in the other direction, though, I get to a deserted back street called Vlašská which winds up a hill and past a monastery before dead-ending in the middle of Prague's largest and most beautiful park.

One of my neighbors here is a dragon, and he carved a little sculpture over his front door:

(Yes, this place is very real, and if we're ever in Prague together my god I will show it to you. Photos from Atlas Česka.)

Two things.

Weisseman, where is that?  That would be my number one choice as well.

But, since I am obligated to come up with my own choices, I would pick either here

Yes, it is Tony Stark's house from Iron Man.  Plenty of roof for everything I'd want, plus a really nice view.

or here.

This one is more likley, as I like the ocean a lot, and this would let me live on it.
Wash: "Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction."
Zoe:  "We live in a space ship, dear."

Thanks to millislim for the awesome avatar.

I can see myself in a similar place Arbutus, I love those pics. Maybe my cathedral isn't too far away from yours?

I'm just going to post a link to this because it's also super awesome to read about:

http://www.simondale.net/house/index.htm

So yeah. I'd be living in an underground home I built myself hopefully. Probably somewhere with mountains and grass, very woodsy.

Wow, that's an awesome looking house! I still love electronics too much to completely give them up, so I may be moving from my location up in the mountains now that I seriously consider it. x_x

I'd probably shoot for a location near a big city but far away enough to get my own forest area. Even if I don't own it. :)

My dream house would have to be one of these

A Huf Haus (super efficient German built kit houses built to your specification) of course it would have to have a double garage at least, plus all the electronic equipment and gadgets i would ever need.

and it would be in a forest somewhere, maybe in the Rockies or maybe Scandinavia, somewhere kinda isolated but not too far from civilisation (:

Is that what the future holds ? Kevlar or cherry wood ? malevolence or good ?

I live in a slightly modified Casspir (one that's had it's interior changed, adding bedding and a small kitchen and such):

I use it to travel around here and there, making stop-offs at the homes of other Furtopians to hang out there for a while :P
