Furfright is coming this October, I'm going to be there with my Roxas, but we are also looking for 2-3 more roomies to help fill our room in the main hotel.

Hey, i sent in my registration notice already, but regardless - i'm going, by bus/ride or driving myself ^.^ . Soo... You need a roomie? I am currently looking for a room, so, if you still have some space there PM me and we can talk over details, or if i can't get online much in the near future, we can exchange numbers. If your full... well then this goes for anyone! I am clean, shy but friendly, and love meeting new people.

Back to the point - last year was a blast, (first con) and i am cartain this year will be even better, so, i hope everything works out for me and anyone else planning to attend - i know finances are tough right now.

I am still coming down from the high of AC, so i'm not going to get to counting down just yet, but one must admit, October 15th 'aint that far away Cheesy.

Ah, well, on the off chance that i will be abile to drive down instead of take the *shudder* bus, then i would be glad to, for just a littile gas money. I know, not very concrete, but if i can i will.

I went, it was my first con. I had a FANTASTIC time! I'll paste my LJ article with my thoughts on the weekend. I'm not sure if I met any of ya'll there, my con badge was Triard. I was the one with the Camo Baseball Cap, and black Hoodie.

Going to the convention restored some little faith in humanity for me. As strange as that sounds. I feel like I lived in a utopia for a weekend, and I really do miss it. The entire atmosphere of complete and utter kindness, and acceptance. The fact that I could trust 99% of these people with anything.

I mean, I see the best parts of humanity in the fandom. I don't see those in my daily life. I see the worst in people every day, and it's a chore to get out of bed in the morning. This weekend was nothing short of uplifting. I felt completely at home here, among my fellow furs. I felt a sense of warmth and acceptance that I've never felt in my life, and I want my normal life to be more like that. Not so much the furry thing as the atmosphere, the values, the excitment to be alive, and feel like every day is a new adventure. That naieve thought that everything just might be alright. The fandom is the only place I feel that I can be who I really am.

Let me just give you a couple of examples.
- I comissioned someone in Artist's Alley. During idle chit-chat, I mentioned that I didn't have a hotel room. Granted, between then and the phone call I ended up finding one, but not two hours later, she remembered that I had mentioned it, and called me, and asked if I wanted to crash in her room.
- I can strike up a random conversation with anyone, for no apparent reason. And not seem weird.
- Hugs Abound. I can finally act cuddly, like I really want to.
- I actually found that there were less "adult" activities at Fur Fright than at Anime Boston.
- People went out of their ways to give people rides home, to make sure they made it to their hotel safe. So many people were walking around with that orange volunteer badge.
