In order of frequency:
News websites and blogs (in massive numbers... some of them are tied to established media institutions, others are online-only)
The Economist (the only piece of print media to which I have a subscription)
NPR News

The local NPR station is my greatest source of news.  I usually listen to it during my commute to and from work.  After that, it's news websites like CNN.

I put t.v., "other", and websites.
The "other" in my case is actually online t.v. from foreign countries. I guess you could still call it "t.v." since it is still broadcast live from a t.v. station, but what you get from other nations can be so radically different it's really a whole different category. Mainly I watch a lot of Mexican and South American news broadcasts online to practice my Spanish, but there are also other stations in English from other nations I watch sometimes.  I've seen stuff broadcast in English from English speaking countries like from Australia, Great Brittan, Ireland, ect., as well as from places where English is not necessarily the majority language like India, Qatar, Israel, ect.
American news coverage is just too one sided and shallow.

I said books and websites. I like to read, but I don't read that often, mainly because I haven't had the time recently. The web is where I get alot of it because it's such a vast network.

I do watch the local news in the mornings sometimes, but that's really not too often anymore.

Most of my information is taken from blogs and forums. Of course, I don't really believe anything until I get the facts behind it, which is easily done on news websites.

Usually I browse MSN news at work in the mornings, then spin through the paper at home (local Mercury and New York Times). The rest comes from The Daily Show. Naturally Smiley

I basically read tons of websites. Usually spend a huge majority of the morning doing so. There's 12 main sites and a few of those filter off to more than I care to count (one uses RSS feeds from Digg, Reddit, etc).

There are a couple news magazines that I read, a few online publications (Grist mainly), and a local weekly newspaper. I get the majority of my news from NPR and Democracy Now, which I usually access through the podcast. I don't think any of the 24/7 news channels are deserving of my time, but don't completely shun television. BBC World News, INN World Report and Democracy Now all have their televised versions (but I do prefer the podcasts-audio only-to the TV versions). The news magazines that I read from time to time include The Progressive, Mother Jones, The Economist, Newsweek, In These Times, Ms. (which is, perhaps, the only magazine I know of with a feminist perspective), Fast Company and Utne Reader. Utne Reader is the best of the bunch. For any fan of The Economist, I would highly recommend Fast Company. It is the only other financial news publication that I think is worth it, and it usually offers some worthwhile career track and small business advice.

I voted radio, television, and websites in that order. Since I'm on the road, I don't get many other options. If I'm looking for news/opinions I'm usually tuned in to The Wilkow Majority and/or the Mike Church show on Sirius radio's Patriot channel, or FOX news (they simulcast on Sirius as well, so I guess that falls more under radio even though it's a TV source). Most truckstop restaurants have a tv by the counter and they're usually tuned to FOX, but occationally I'll see one tuned to CNN and I can tolerate that for a bit. I prefer the earlier radio shows I mentioned because they'll spend more than just 3-4 minutes on any given topic and will explain the reasoning behind most of the points you find brought up on other shows like Hannity and O'Reilly's(SP?) tv spots. The websites come in when I want to look in more on a topic I hear on the radio or generally want more info on something, but I don't stick to any one set group. Usually I'll google up the info unless I already know which site I need to look for. Occationally I'll listen in on shows like Alan Colmbs new call in show on FOX News & Talk and others on Sirius Left when I want to see what the other side is saying...which usually tends to be character attacks against opposition, angry ranting, or deflecting a debate with jokes, and not argueing the ideals and philosophies at hand. MSNBC is also good on youtube for a laugh on their outlandish reporting too.

Generally from science magazines, and occasionally I read newspaper articles when they have something on some breakthrough or discovery that interests me.
Websites for tech-news.
Generally there's not much in the way of any political, celebrity and/or sports/entertainment news that I would bother reading. Political stuff is usually chock-full of propoganda, though occasionally I'll find a decent read (generally on economics... the arguments over most social issues are laughable, generally due to the nature of the issue at hand bringing up flawed arguments based in emotion and dogma). 'Entertainment' articles are usually (ironically too), rather boring to me.
Fake news (Colbert for example) is always fun though. I enjoy some good satire.
When I see some of the really pathetic arguments being made by some of the super-biased news sources (they know who they are...), I'm not sure whether to laugh at the stupidity and ignorance, or to cry at it. Tongue Sad thing is, is that some people believe all that.

For me it's pretty much just internet and TV (meaning the Daily Show).
The "other" in my case is actually online t.v. from foreign countries. That's cool I wish I could do that!

I'm addicted to listening to conservative based talk radio on the AM stations. Back when I was working as a Kitchen Designer and Cabinetry hardware sales rep I used to drive in my car a lot. Probably about 6 hours a day. No matter where i was in the greater Chicagoland area, i was always able to pickup a local AM station so I never had to worry about changing stations to get a good reception. So, I got hooked on listening to their funny antics and their take on the world.

Welp, I picked Newspaper, Radio and Other.

Newspaper:  the University of Montana has its own paper, the Kaimin, that I read every Tuesday and Thursday before class when the new issues come out.

Radio:  back in Louisiana I'd listen to the news my favorite radio station, 98 Rocks, would put out.

Other:  Cows - I can tell a lot about the weather from cows.

I gave up news radio last year because it stressed me out.  I also dont read much in the way of paper newspapers either.  I get most of my news from websites, and from conversations with freinds.

I've also recently started watching Glenn Beck when I get off work.  He's about the only news program I can bear to sit through though.

I don't watch very much Tv. So I get my News from Random Magazines (Not very much), News Papers (Comics and nothing else), Military Personal (They are always buzzing with info), And the Streets (Random people always yelled good news ^_^ ).

As for Information, I get allot from the Internet and Books. I love Wikipedia! They usealy have a well defined rounded article ready to be devoured! ^-^ I also adore The Libraries Britanica and Encyclopedia sets. Oh and ^-^ my favorite Book of all time! ^,^ Websters International Dictionary!

Other then that, I pretty much dont care anymore to hear the News. Everything they present is negative and nasty. I have only another 50 - 60 years left in me. I am not going to muddle it up with Negativity.
