This story, though it is short, is one of my favorites. The fantastical story in this little novella is absolutely delicious. The thought of the Mythosphere among us makes me happy. I love telling people about this story... but most of them will probably never read it unfortunately. I like to play games. If I could live in a world like that I would thoroughly enjoy it. Especially meeting Flute and Fiddle. Some of my favorite characters from the author yet.
I'm just such a fan of fantasy. It makes life...lively. ^_^

I think I read that, in like 9th grade. Maybe. Can you give me a bit more of a clue as to what it was about without ruining the story for others?  If it's the one I'm thinking of, it was quite a good little story.  If not, then I did read a fun little story in 9th grade...

Assuming I found the right Diana Wynne Jones, she also wrote Howl's Moving Castle.  I've never read it, but I've seen it made into an anime movie.  It was awesome. Great story and well done movie.  I've actually watched it twice now, and I don't watch many movies more than once.

This just makes me want to find that story even more...

And I just did a search at our library's website... they have a copy of the book, though it's out right now.  I'll check next time I'm there.
