I'm sorry the name is like that, I needed a good description.

But anyway I think I need help with the shape of my anthro heads, They are too "roundish" from when I make my face circle outline (circle with the 2 directional lines) I cant figure out how to turn a round head into a head with form, I do make the dents where the eyes are on the side of the distant eye, but sometimes that just isn't enough, like in this picture here ( http://filesmelt.com/downloader/DSC_0026.JPG ) is a good example (I'm sorry if it's hard to see but it is still in rough draft so I didn't ink it or anything. I didn't even re-trace to get a clean pic yet.) This one here is an experimental "finalish" picture ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2692908 ) See where the snout meets the roundish part of the head near the top? I tried to make it have a little more form, but as a result it just make his cheek look like a chipmunk  . I also need some suggestions or help with the back of the head, I feel the fur just doesn't seem right and I don't know how to make it right. Also, how do I make the hair look more like hair and not just markings and stuff?

(you can skip all the pre-analysis and go right to the solution (2nd to last paragraph, and 3rd to last too I think) I provided for this image, but that wall of text before it does sure have some good tips and stuff for just general work)

It would seem to me that what's happening is that your perspective and proportion is being thrown off in sort of a chain reaction: when one thing is drawn, then the next one is (but then a slight error occurs), and so on, as the perspective errors continually add up until when looking at the earliest sections drawn and the latest sections drawn, they don't really match up.

This is a difficult problem I encountered early on, and it is still quite capable of messing me up. I'm not sure how much my advice would help, considering I use a perspective rendering system off of mental images, rather than the more classic (draw a circle, add detail, etc etc so on) due to scanners picking up even the slightest erasures and getting big grey areas consequently, as well as my abysmal failure at tracing.

However, what I would suggest is find several other artists who's artistic style and style of anthromorphic construction match what you're tying to create and simply study how they drew them: the proportions, where things are in relationship to each other, as well as the angle of connection, and such like that. Also, simply practice, practice and... well, you get the idea. It IS true though as I can attest to.

You should also be careful of drawing too big of a line or overcompensating.

Now, if we combine all of my above comments and apply them to the example you posted, the angle/perspective of the ears and snout are throwing off the far cheek. You can't really correct the far cheek because it needs to be in relationship to the rest of the head, otherwise it will always look out of place compared to something else no matter how you try to change it.
Therefor, I would suggest rotating the ears so that the "forward" direction of the ears is about 50 degrees in the direction of the viewer, but be careful about overcompensating. Similarly, for the snout, it needs to be rotated upwards perhapse about 25 degrees, and maybe somewhere between 40 and 10 in the direction of the viewer (I'm doing this by memory from the image), and then rotated 20 or so degrees counter clockwise (so it matches with the up/down orientation of the rest of the face), then redraw the cheek and it should hopefully fit. :3

Thanks for the advice ^^ I shall try and find some artists that are similar to my style and see how it is structured (and not copy ) And I will just keep practicing and play with the position of the ears and snout and stuff like you said.

The human brain actually simplise what we look at and learn, that is why we have to learn over again and again.
There are people out there where their brain don't simplise much at all but they think much differen't and look at bit mad as the human brain was not made to take everything in all the time but I wish I was like that. learning art should not be much different to learing other things I believe you have to know the shape of what you want to draw based around before drawing your picture and style.

Best thing to do is to get a lot of photo poses like of the head if that is what you want to draw. If you want anthro do that with photos of people aswell.
You will be surprised of how much detail there is that you can added to a drawing if you want to. To cut out what you don't need to cut down the simplising of the brain is to trace the photos on plasic film / plasic pockets are cheaper but permanent markers can rub off but that doesn't really matter as you just want to see the outlines as it is not going to be a picture of art.
You can do this with artwork people done on the net to get ideas for differen't shapes that you can never get from photos like anthro shapes, never copy an artist for your art though so don't upload it!
They can became really upset so never let anything look like it's taken from there art this is only to help give you ideas.

Doing these traces too can be good to help improve hand movements and make your hand strong and brain work things out easier like a computer when you do artwork but don't trace for art as that is not art.
In the end you will use less rubber too as you will draw it right to start with alot when you get good but not all the time.
To you will easy see what is wrong in a drawing just like that if you try it out it works. It's good to copy photos by drawing to now and again aswell but not to much as we only have little time that is why tracing is good for learning shape.
If you do that lots in the end you will be able to draw without much ref at all and you will draw your characters exactly how you want them to look, it is
possible as I can do it now.

Thanks a lot, I will read this again when my hand is better so I can draw again, for now I will try to find some artists like my style, study how they make them, study dogs, and humans and just keep practicing.

Well, I have just started to get back into drawing because I fractured my wrist and it was kind of hard to draw and practice, but I have been looking at some artwork on furaffinity and stuff and I think I know how to give my head a little more shape and hopefully add a body sometime. If I find a good technique or way to draw it I'll probably post it on my furaffinity and/or on here.

Thanks, It has fully healed. So I might even go to the library and find some books on dogs/humans and try and see if I could draw them and then combine the features.
