I decided to make my own academy based rp...this litle rp takes place in Reokusei academy, a prestigeous institution for shaping young adventurers and aspiring daredevils. The classes are just as diverse as the teaching staff, ranging from strange to down right dry. Many events and tournaments are held every term, so students have bragging rights to just about anything...and of course, it is a boarding school so dorm room disputes and parties are common...however, along with the hijinks, many students find adventure even within the walls of the Academy...so...the question is...wil YOU find that adventure you crave here? Or will you sit in the back of the class and be a good little bookworm?

Powers: Baldun fights with a unique fighting style and an incredibly rare and risky form of magic, Luck magic.
Appearence: like most badgers, Baldun is fairly short and stocky, but his attire speaks of his shady tactics and tricky disposition. Baldun dresses in a black vest and black pants, along with black fingerless gloves...but what really makes him stand out it his black top hat with four playing cards tucked in the band of it, an ace from every suite. The vibrant blue ring he wears glows in dim light, and his dull grey eyes display an unreadable stare, giving a whole new meaning to the term poker face.

Powers: Alakar is training to be a pure mage. He fights with the more traditional battle magics, but has a keen eye for strategy.
Appearence: Alakar is slightly taller than average furs, but short for his species. He is thick and thus creates an imposing figure. His robes are the only thing that identifies him as something other than a fighter. In the many pockets of his robes he has components and trinkets for spells. Under his robes he has a belt and a bandoleer filled with more hidden items.

Powers: Feidai is not a very good magic user however, she is decent at fighting despite her size. Though rarely gets into situations where she has to fight.
Appearance: Feidai is quite small in stature and build, she has mostly silver fur with gold markings in various places. She wears a purple and gold tunic-style dress with two brown leather belts and has long golden hair that comes to her mid-back. Her tail has three gems growing out of it, one red, one pink and one purple.

Powers: Much to her chagrin (and often denial), she has next-to-no combat skill. Her magical skills, biased towards wood and water elements, are passible and she could likely be quite a skilled mage if she applied herself. She stubbornly refuses to give up on her goal of finding at least one weapon she can wield well, however, and as such she is far less talented than she would be if she'd simply train her magical skills instead. If it were up to her she'd be in Fighting and Thievery, but was persuaded to take Alchemy and Weaponsmithing.
Appearance: Amira strongly prefers wearing fitted robes cinched with a belt, regardless of the weather. She usually wears these robes in somewhat subdued colours, if not grey or black. She's slightly taller than average, with the sleek build and the characteristic fur pattern of her species. A thin silver chain with a small but elaborately-detailed leaf hangs around her neck, and a silimarly fancy vine-patterned bracelet begins above her left wrist and reaches up her arm nearly to the elbow. (the latter is usually covered by the sleeve of her robe but she is never without it).

(Okay...we can start...)

It was about 7:00 A.M., and the shuttle for the new first year students dropped the group of brighteyed young furs off in front of the school gates. They had a bit of a walk to go through the schools courtyard, and they were expected to walk all the way up there by themselves. thier school guid waited at the doors of the school itself. Among the crowd of students, a small badger stood with a deck of playing cards, rifling them through his hands like a blackjack dealer...he was very short, his top hat making him seem taller than he actually was...he waited for the rest of the new students to start walking...he was a bit forced to...he really couldn't move through the crowd.

Alakar stood calmly, his arms concealed by his robes. As he stood towards the back of the line he toyed with a few of the trinkets he had under his robes. The bear was a bit nervous about class, his large stature nearly assuring he would be singled out as an oaf in his field. He sighed waited for the group to begin to move.

Amira was restless as she followed the rest of the crowd, sighing softly to herself as she was bumped into yet again. Tightening the belt around her waist a bit more, the young woman resigned herself to fighting through the throngs of other students if she was ever going to reach the front door. She didn't mind the long walk ahead of her, just the clastrophobic feeling of furs surrounding her from all sides. Ducking and weaving until she finally managed to get out of the midst of the group and into a spot with a bit more freedom to move, she quickened her pace. Getting settled in was her first priority.

the small badger grunted as he was shoved around inside the crowd...so he pulled out a coin and flipped it "Heads." was all that he said, and as he caught the coin, it landed heads up. His eyes flashed, and people around him were pushed back about two feet by a buffeting force of magic. The badger tipped his tophat and strode forward, flipping his coin and whistling a gambling tune. the young badger couldn't really wait for his class registration.

Feidai had missed the bus on her first day to school, causing her to be somewhat late. She hurried across the courtyard and joined in behind the large group of students hoping nobody would notice. Her small size allowed her to carefully weave through the crowd though she still bumped into many fellow students on her way. She was very impatient so getting as close to the front of the line was her main objective.

A split second before the blast of energy Alakar felt something. This was mostly due to the fact that he had centered his energies before arriving to calm his nerves, thus leaving him in a heightened state of awareness. Not knowing what the energy was, or where it was coming from the bear dug his heels into the soft ground of the courtyard. The force still pushed him back a little over a foot, with his robes fluttering around his large frame.

After the blast the bear was quickly able to determine its source. With a smile he walked over to the badger.

"I take it you dislike crowds even more than I." he rumbled in his deep voice.

Amira was far enough away from the crowd to evade being pushed around by the blast of energy, but it (and the surprised sounds it caused) were more than enough to pique her attention and get her scanning the group in hopes of glimpsing whoever was at the centre of it.

"Someone's pushy..." she giggled to herself, deep brown eyes falling upon a fancily-dressed badger who seemed quite proud of himself. Maybe she should keep an eye out for him; tricksters were always fun as long as she wasn't the target, and it wasn't like he didn't stand out a little...

After working her way through the crowd, Feidai saw a mass of students looking bewildered and a few of them looked as if they'd been knocked over. She stopped and helped a few up then looked at the bear towering above most of the others around, she noticed that he, and most of the other students' attention was fixed on a rather showey looking badger, she'd arived too late to know exactly what was going on but it was obviously something to do with him, so she edged closer for a better look.

the badger nodded at Alakar "Yup...Hate 'em." he said softly. "Especialy when you're about a foot shorter than most people....they tend not to see ya." he stated with a shrug. "I just like my space."

The badger looked up at the polar bear "Hmm...strong build, tall...from once initial guessin', I'd say you were a fighter...buuuuttt....I know better then that." he said...the badger had a bit of a street kid accent...a trait that was actually common in Card Dealers, Con-Artists, and Gamblers...but this badger's appearence spoke of an entertainment magician of sorts.

"What gave it away, my robes or my runt of the litter stature?" Alakar asked with a slight laugh.

the badger continued walking "Neither...the fact that you actually prepared for that magical wave." he said calmly "I'm Baldun Kace"

"Mere luck. I was in a heightened sense of awareness because of a meditation his morning to calm my nerves." He offered a short bow, "Alakar Vasa, at your service."

Powers: uses stealth and dark magic to avoid fighting if it does come to a fight he can cast curses, has very little physical strenght but great speed and agility
Appearance: whears a black leather outfit under his black robe he has a fur made up of light and dark grays and is shortrer then most cats, although he appears dark and angry he is very nice and willing to help where he can, and belives that people should use there own skills to achieve what they are trying to do. Will not help people who try to force him do do something and will not help someone who only fights people who are weak.

Baldun smiled "In any case, I think you'll be good at magic." he said calmly. Baldun flicked his wrist, and a glowing white bird of light flew from his sleeve, then exploded in a shower of angelic looking feathers of light "I'm good at Illusions and Luck...runs in my family." he said simply. He noticed a few of the new female students attempting to catch the feathers...Baldun had a lot of tricks up his sleeve when it came to magician grade magic.

As she caught sight of the badger's little magic trick, Amira grinned. Resisting her urge to pursue a couple of those shimmering feathers, the ocelot snuck closer to him nonetheless. The guy seemed like a bit of a show-off, but she was amused and wouldn't mind at least finding out his name. That Magic class she was told she had to take instead of getting to try learning more weapon skills would sure be a lot more fun if Mr. Parlour Tricks over there was in it...

"Nice tricks. You can call me Amira; what's your name?" she asked as she strode within earshot, taking the chance to look the other fur over more carefully now that she was close enough to see the details of his outfit. From whatever the guy did to get himself more space it was obvious he had more than just little tricks, so perhaps he was just playing at the guise of a stage magician...

Alakar smirked as he replied, "You know, I should be good and mauling and swordplay... runs in my family. But it seems I am more suited to the arcane arts. As of yet, I don't know some flashy trick, so I am stuck looking like a fish out of water."

Nortrix watched the display of magic from afar, making the decision then he began to snake his way between other students heading for the magician. He was about a head shorter then the people around him and it was easy to slip by them unoticed. As he moved closer he began to slow down trying harder not to be seen he didn't know anything about these two, he didn't feel like getting kicked out his first day for getting into a fight.

Baldun smiled at Amira "I'm Baldun....and those are just cheap little illusions....well...my harmless ones anyway....kind of...like...this one." he said, a bomb rolling out of his sleeve. He tossed it back into the crowd, who all dived out of the way...the bomb exploded, but with a rather rude noise and a huge amount of confetti, which then vanished....Baldun merely laughed like a child.
