(I had my profile made out, but I saw that C.T. didn't seem too keen on another character joining. So I'll just sit back and watch this thread. It's interesting already.)

Okay, she definitely liked this teacher. No wasting time with rambling, just right to hands-on work. Perfect. She scanned the room, silently judging everyone who didn't put their hand up to volunteer. After all, if they didn't want to make weapons, what were they doing here? She grinned at Baldun, however, as he seemed to share the same amount of eagerness she did.

"Yeah, sure!" Sliding out of her seat, she stolled to the front of the room. She had no clue how any of this worked but she desperately wanted to find out.

(If you want to Join Twisted, go ahead, same for you, Kayvixen)

Bjorn smiled at the two "Alright then...I want you two to put your hands on a Magi-Forge each, and we'll see just what form your inner weapon takes." he said softly.

Baldun set his hands on the large slab of blue metal before him, and the metal began to create a casting of a large, circular saw blade like creation, to which Bjorn was surprised "Well well...the little'un is slated to use a wind saw...I'd hate to get on yer bad side, I like my lower half attached." Bjorn joked, looking over at Amira.

Inner weapon, huh? Sweet; that meant she wouldn't have to try everything all over again before finding something that she could use. Laying her paws gently on the blue surface, she watched, fascinated, as a weapon took shape. She couldn't quite tell what it was at first, but eventually it had a final form. She'd never seen anything quite like it, but it seemed to be a sort of whip. Her old trainer had never let her even try with any whips or similar weapons, saying she would just hurt herself if she tried using one. She grinned to herself; obviously he'd been wrong, if this was what she was supposed to use.

(As a note, it's a Qijiebian- a seven-section chain whip that by its design is very difficult for the average person to learn. But she doesn't know what it's called yet, as she's never seen one before)

Character profile

Name: Chika Amari
Age: 19
Position: Student
Species: Bat
Year: 1st year
Classes: Magic 1, Meditation 1, Fighting 1
Powers: Chika uses Shadow Magic. Shadow Magic is a form of magic that can control shadows, minds, and different forms of wind. Wind is her element. Shadow Magic also allows her to be a shadow, walking through walls and the likes.
Weapons: Chika also uses weapons, mostly two long swords in sheaths located on her back. She also uses a bomerang-type weapon that is round in shape with razor edges. This weapon can split in two pieces and always comes back to her grip(usually with blood all over it).
Appearence: Chika has a dog-like face with big beautiful rounded eyes and thick lashes. Her fur along her body is dark brown with black also. Her wings are mostly back, but they are furless to give her advantages in flight. Her black hair extends just past her shoulders, which she keeps in a headband most of the time.
Dorm number: 113

Chika lands at the school's front doors. Using her Shadow Magic, she walks straight through undetected. She looks around to find a map of the school. When she finally finds one, she smiles and walks to the class. She immediately notices that the teacher had already started class, so she walks through the wall silently and finds a seat. It takes a while for the teacher to notice her presence. She makes sure that her presence isn't easily known.

Baldun smiled as the casting finished. The disc was larger than he was, but he was actually quite intelligent...his IQ was actually that of a genius level...He would find a way to use the huge saw...probably mechanically. He smiled softly, and Bjorn smirked "Ah, the littl'un is pretty intelligent, I can see it in 'is eyes! He's gonna be formidable! The same with you, lass! You two had the bravery to come up first, which sets you above the rest of these spinless little cubs!" he said, glaring at the other students, who wriggled in thier seats uncomfortably.

Chika softly snorted and whispered to herself, "Great. I'm in a class with know-it-alls and show-offs." she looked down at her work, which had been done in just three minutes which would take fifteen minutes normally. Then she sighed and sat back against her seat. She wished that her parents were alive. Also, she thought about how much harder she would work at school and at life if they were behind her. However, when she opened her eyes, all she saw was herself in a cold dark room with only herself. She shook it off and started on the next assignment.

Amira snatched up the whip as soon as she could, eager to look it over closely and even more so to actually use it. Seven links seemed like they would be a bit...unwieldy, but if it was the right weapon for her then she had to be awesome with it, right?

"Heh, I've been waiting for this." She replied with a slightly cocky grin. Oh, this was gonna be so cool...

Baldun took hold of his weapon, despite his small size, he held it at a stance that permitted it's use by him...but by now, Bjorn's sense of the arcane had tipped him off to something strange about the small badger.

"Little'un...Baldun, yer name is? you mind doing me a bit of a favor?" he asked.

Baldun nodded "Sure thing, Mr. Bjorn." he said softly.

Bjorn nodded "I need you to lift up the back of your coat and show me your back..." he said. At this, Baldun got skeptical

"Why?" he asked suspiciously.

Bjorn pulled both Amira and Baldun aside "Look...Baldun, yer people are some of the largest fighters in the world, and you bein small isn't no genetic thing...it's unnatural. I can easily see a kind of sealed aura about you...and I think I know why...just show me your back." he said softly, Baldun tilted his head and turned, lifting up his coat to show his back...there was nothing...until Bjorn waved his hand, revealing a bright, glowing red seal on Baldun's back.

"Just as I thought...a curse. It's breakable, but I can't do it in class...can you two meet me after class? I'll instruct you on how to use your weapons and break that seal fr you Baldun." he said softly.

Baldun looked over at Amira nervously...as his ony friend at the moment, he was looking to her for comfort.

Chika was already too bored of the class she was in. Everyone else was talking merrily to each other and having a good time it seemed. She finished up the project that she was working on, being a full project ahead of the other students. The weather was nice outside, and she still had more than an hour left of class, so she got up and began to leave. She expected the teacher to stop her, but she didn't slow down to see if he would. The steps were as silent as before while she walked out of the classroom. The classroom was located in one of the towers, meaning it was high up. So she walked up to one of the windows, opened it, and stood on the window sill. The wind was promising, making her smile. She jumped, spread her wings to their fullest length, and flew around the school. Occasionally, she would fly over the lake nearby and watch it glisten with all its beauty in the sunlight.

A curse...? That made no sense. Baldun obviously liked playing tricks but that was a bit much for punishment. Amira frowned, confused by the sudden turn of events. She did really want to learn how to use her whip, and the badger seemed like a good guy, but given that look he had on his face maybe he didn't like the idea too much...

"I'd love to learn how to fight. Baldun seems like he kinda knows already, though, so I don't wanna speak for him." For all her attitude sometimes, Amira wasn't particularly good with subtleties, or for that matter reassuring others. She at least knew enough not to make someone else's decision for them, though. There wasn't really a reason to trust the teacher's offer, after all...but then, no real reason not to either. She had no clue what to do here.

Baldun looked around nervously...the small badger obviously was nervous...then he took a deep breath, then looked at Bjorn "A...A-Alright...Let's go through with this...I'm tired of being made fun of for being small...and...I've never even seen a Wind saw..." he said softly, his struggle to find courage obvious.

Amira wasn't quite sure why Baldun would be hesitant if there was a curse on him that could get fixed...why wouldn't he want to be stronger? That was the whole point of training, right? And he would get a huge boost right away by having it broken, wouldn't he? If anyone, she'd think the teacher would be concerned about why there was a seal at all, and he didn't really seem too worried.

"I'm sure you'll be okay."

Baldun nodded softly, and then he nodded to Bjorn. Bjorn looked to the rest of the class and assigned them a weapons test, mainly to see how many were actually able to use a weapon. Bjorn pulled Amira and Baldun aside, a serious look on his face.

"Alright you two...I'm going to break the seal on Baldun first...it's obviously of dark origin, probably an ancestral, lineage affecting curse, cast by a Witch, most likely. Are you the first born son of your family, Baldun?" he asked. Baldun merely nodded his head. "Ah...that would be it. an ancestor made a witch angry, and she cursed his lineage, causing all first born sons to have this curse....but that ends right now." he said calmly, roughly grabbing the small badger, holdign him in the air by the scruff of his neck...by now, Baldun was alarmed, and was kicking wildly in panic as Bjorn pulled his hand back, a small blue flame appearing in the palm of his hand. Bjorn's heavy muscled arm shot forward, driving his hand into the seal on Baldun's back with tremendous force, causing the seal to break and the little badger to loose all air within him momentarily...and also sent the poor boy through the air and onto the ground several feet away.

"Now...wait a moment...there! here is comes." Bjorn said, watching as the small badgers heaving body glowed brightly and became recognizable in the midst of misty silverish blue light. The light cleared in a huge flash, and where there was once a miniscule, finely dressed badger, was now a large, broad shoulder, and slightly tubby big badger...apparently, Baldun's eating habits and thier consequences affected his real body... he had a bit of a belly on him. Baldun slowly sat up, holding his gut, and looking around, noting that everything looked smaller than before...that's when he looked at himself

"I'm...I'm....I'm big!...and....and fat..." he said, growing a bit embarrassed with the last remark...at least he looked formidible, if not even more cuddly than before, since now he looked like a jolly chubby badger in a nice outfit...his face wasn't bad looking either. Bjorn couldn't help but burst out laughing

"Well then! Looks like yer big alright! Now I can teach ya both how to use them weapons of yers!" he said, slapping his own large belly.

Dark ancestral curses weren't exactly what Amira had planned on dealing with on her first day. But, well, at least it wasn't her getting scuffed and lifted off her feet. ...okay, that wasn't a very nice thought, but really. If the man was telling the truth, though, it should be a good thing to break it.

Her concern increased somewhat when she saw the fire and huge amount of force that Bjorn appeared to be using, but other than a slight step forward she was able to keep from intervening. Truth be told she was a bit scared herself now, especially considering that Baldun didn't seem like he was getting up...

Glancing to the teacher with concern, she found her sentiment mostly ignored, as she was simply told to look back at the prone badger. The light was way too strong for her eyes and she covered them with a wince. Once it seemed to have faded, she slowly lowered her hand from her face, hand trailing momentarily over the brace along her arm in what appeared to be a comforting move.

"Baldun...?" The boy laying there was certainly not the same one she'd gotten to (slightly) know over the last few hours. Put bluntly, he was huge in comparison. But the outfit was the same, and somehow still seemed to fit just fine. ...at least until he stood and she caught sight of the fact that the shirt wasn't quite properly fitted anymore. She giggled to herself, at first softly then more clearly when she heard that Baldun was qutie surprised by it as well.

"A-A little, yeah...but at least you'll work it off while training? Heehee..."

Bjorn gave off a loud giffaw, and then smiled. Baldun slowly stood up, hefting himself to his feet and feeling quite heavy...

Bjorn looked to Amira "Alright...you two ready to learn how to use those weapons?" he asked calmly. Baldun nodded, retrieving his weapon from the ground nearby.

Name: Damien Melerel
Age: 18
Position: Student
Species: Cat
year: 1st year
Classes: Magic 1, Weapon-smithing 1, Fighting 1
Powers: Damien has been able to use defensive magic (such as force walls and orbs) and some minor healing magic (potent enough to heal broken bones with a few minutes of concentration) proficiently since early childhood. Ever since he discovered his powers, he has refined and honed them.
Appearance: Tall and slight, he usually dresses in loose blue jeans and a T-shirt (though he has a black and gray striped hoodie that he never takes off in his waking hours). His only piece of jewelry is a ring located about halfway down his tail that appears to be made out of a dark-hued stone and graven with a strange sigil. His fur has a striped tan-and-gray pattern on it. His build suggests one that doesn't think the amount of force used to solve his problems is the main factor, but rather where he uses this force. His efficient manner is expressed in many ways, from his nonchalant mode of dress to his walk, which is purposeful with a lengthy stride. Also, he always carries around a curved folding (and kept very sharp) knife in a pocket or on a chain around his neck.
Dorm number:  116

Should I just jump in assuming I've been where all of these characters have all this time, or should I introduce him to the school first? I could just put him in weapons-smithing 1 right after he made his inner weapon...

(Go ahead.)

Bjorn smiled softly. "Alright then. Allow me to teach you. When you bring that whip to strike back, imagine it's a serpent, alive, with intent all it's own...instead of trying to forcibly control it, go along with it's swing...it'll prevent you from hurting yourself." he said, then he turned to Baldun.

"Alright, big boy, take hold of that wind saw, feel the air currents around you, and let that devil loose!" he said calmly. Baldun closed his eyes, feeling the gentle breeze, and used his newfound body frame to heft all his weight into the throw, which sent the windsaw buzzing through the air like a furious whirlwind, shearing the very air around it as it made a whole round and came full circle back to Baldun, who had no idea how to catch it, but Bjorn did for him. The wind abruptly stopped when Bjorn effortlessly caught the sqaw in it's inside rim, stopping it dead and halting it's deadly spin.

Damien set his paws on the large slab of blue metal before him and the metal began glow dimly blue in the bright fluorescent lights  and pulse with barely controlled potential. Determined to see what shape his psyche and spirit would give to this substance, he kept his paws firmly on one end of the block. It started to twist and curl and in a few seconds he held a blued steel crossbow in his arms, a handful of quarrels on the floor around his boots. He noticed that the sigil from his tail ring appeared to be embossed on the butt of his new weapon.

"Cool," he said simply and nocked a projectile to the string, which appeared to be made out of some grayish cord. He sighted down its length and released the tension in the string. Gathering all of his bolts into one paw, and grabbing a black nylon baldric from the counter, he fitted his bow on it and slung it on his back. The quarrels went in a quiver and were hung from his belt. He looked attentively to Baldun while he gave the others their lessons first, striding over to get a better view.

Like a serpent, huh? Okay, that shouldn't be too hard. After all, it did kinda look the part and everything. Amira trailed a paw over the notches in the whip. Snake, snake, snake...she snapped it fiercely, recoiling with a cry of pain as it snapped back and wrapped tightly around her arm. Okay, that hurt. A lot.

"Oww...man, I wanted 'serpent' not 'boa constrictor'." Rubbing her arm with a hiss, the ocelot shifted her posture. Maybe it would help if she had a target in sight...focusing on one of the table legs, she made a second attempt. This time, there was a loud crack as it made contact with the wood and she drew it back, catching the segmented whip in her free hand as it returned to her.

"...awesome."
