I'm not sure where to find any blueprints/diagrams, but here are some further links that you can research:

i am making my first quad suit(wolf )i have it almost done but i just need to make the stilts in the arms i have tried  PVC pipe but it was to heavy. i have also seen wooden stilts but they didn't look very supportive. i need some good designs for it I'm trying to win a school costume contest and other contests coming up. i only have till the 29 of Oct. i have tried websites but haven't found anything so post pics and tutorials on how to make them.   :-[ :)

I'm not sure what else to tell you or offer. Best bet would be to register for an LJ account and join the Quadsuit community I linked to further above.
There is also this Furtopian Fursuit forum entry on quad suits.

Perhaps some of the links within people's posts might be able to help you out.

Not sure if this is going to help, but if you have the coins to drop, you might try to buy and modify some painter's stilts. Take a look at the link below and see if this is more what you're asking about.
