I've done some models of vehicles that were designed to be small, with the biggest being some for sprites in Transcendence. However, I decided today to start experimenting with fur... O_o

I REALLY REALLY admire those people who do 3d movies with characters with lots of fur... (as in, a whole lot more than I did before)

So I thought it best to make things easy for myself. I decided to experiment with a pre-made model and textures for a werewolf (From the JCarl's lycanthropy meshes for TES4:Oblivion). Yet I've spent about 60% of my day since I've gotten up tweaking the fur (and I'm not done yet: I think his fur is still too shiny and I need to fix the length in some areas (and the right arm has clipping issues with the fur)... and then I need to do the head... (since the head and body were separate meshes))... o_O

Well, practice makes perfect... I hope. lol

Anyone else do 3d modeling w/ fur?

I'll post some pics once I'm done. if I ever get done.

When Blender actually work for me I started test out fur. But only on a Ball mesh. Then it refused to work >.< However I'm starting to play with Maya 2010 so hopefully I'll be playing with it on there soon once I've got the UI worked out x3

I've done a little with fur in Maya. I have a fox character that I eventually plan to add fur to. Unfortunately, I've been busy with other things and so have postponed work on that project.  I'll probably get back to that eventually, but I'm uncertain as to when that will be.
