Well, after a few years of trying to figure out what animal I most personified I found it in my mythology class after having heard it mentioned a few times. Kirin. I'm a bit lonely where I live mostly because I don't have much contact with other furs besides the ones I know personally. I'm not really anything special, just an aspiring writer looking to build a career on words and paperbacks. I'm pretty easy to get along with as long as you aren't closed minded and complete and total jerk. I enjoy almost everything I do really, if I don't like it then don't expect me to do it.

XD wow, a nice a lovely response from you Kobuk so I'll answer your questions first :3

Q. Mind telling us how you happened upon our friendly community?
A. I am hoping to become a fursuiter so thanks to google I found the mass of informative wealth on these lovely forums and plopped my scaly hide down for a nice stay and fine chat with fellows and kindred. I don't have contact with many furs in my area so why not?

Q. How long have you been in the fandom?
A. Honestly I've been in the fandom since I was four years old thanks to the Disney film Robin Hood though I never really took part or was active until the age of sixteen. Ages and all aside by my math it would be approximately seventeen years that I have been in the fandom.

Q. How long have you been a fur (not all members of the fandom are furs)?
A. I have been a fur for close to six years now.

Q. What interests you about the fandom?
A. At this point I had to think long and hard and finally wound up laughing with one realization. The real question would be what doesn't interest me about the fandom and that is the opposite of the other answer! Everything about the fandom interests me as long as I don't have to take part in absolutely everything I don't mind watching one bit.

For the main page I fully intend to share all my works when I'm not quite so busy as well as browse everything there is to offer.

In regards to the hugs and pounces for all I c are the entire fandom can dog pile me and I'd squeal with absolute joy simply because of the affection of the gesture. I'm a very affectionate person myself and can't resist the opportunity to offer a hug or cuddle of my own.

Spelling won't be too terribly much of problem seeing as I have spent most of my life reading and overcoming my dyslexia. I owe my spelling skills to all the books I've taken the time to sit down and enjoy even when I go searching for new materials. I will honestly read anything that can be read if I get bored enough so your best bet is that when I get bored be it William Shakespeare, Edgar Allen Poe or the back of a mere cereal box it will be read!

I appreciate the link to the rules because that is a great help for me since I have been unable to really locate that myself yet. Thank you so much for that. I'll do my best to become a model denizen of this forum and site. Also, just a quick FYI to everybody I am a text emote lover. So if anyone doesn't understand a certain combination of characters I use after a sentence they are welcome to ask about them or ask me to not use text emotes when talking to them.

She aint lieing, Im in Jacksonville Florida. And I cant find a one.   

Huh..I know there are at least fifteen or upwards of that number in my city alone but I'm not able to contact them or the group at the moment. I'm saying I don't get to visit them much I guess.

Welcome to the community hun. Your inner fur, the Kirin is a good noble animal. I lived in South Korea for a couple years and seen a lot of art and lore dipicted from it.

You mentioned loving all the pounces and hugs et. al. in one of your earlier replies. I can honestly say that if you ever attend a Fur Con, you will experience them in abundance. The furry community is perhaps the most loving, open-minded and acceptable community I've ever found. I was truely amazed at my first con last year. Needless to say (but i will anyway) i was hooked after my first hug.

Hopefully we'll cross paths at some time. I can't attend all the cons, but try to make it to two a year.

I've never been able to attend a con sadly enough. I love hugs so much so that when I fall behind on a certain amount of huggable people in a week I start getting really really grumpy and it takes some good long cuddles to cheer me up.

Well, I can't give you a real hug, but you can have an e-hug.
