and its kids like thats fault that i cant play brawl on my sisters ultra huge flat screen, even though you dont even swing the wii mote in that game, she is just paranoid now...

I don't think the bat actually hit the TV. What seems more likely is there was a glass panel over or something glass in the cabinet/thingy right next to the TV, and that is what hit and shattered.
TV glass is too thick on a CRT to shatter like that; you'd probably only crack it, if even that. On a CRT/Plasma/LCD, those are too thin and don't curve unlike the TV there, and they go 'thud' when hit by a wiimote. Finally projector screens just rip.

Wow, I found it funny that he actually bought the bat attachment.

When I saw the title, I thought it was this video.

The same almost happened to me  Tongue.  My cousin was playing Wii Sports and the controller broke off a big chunk of plastic off my old T.V.  It still makes me laugh  Cheesy

Yeah, looks like he shattered the glass door in front of the stereo shelves to the side of the actual TV. Still rather unnerving that had it gone -slightly- different, it could have damaged the TV.

There is one worse attachment I've seen though. Some company has made a bowling-ball attachment for the wiimote:

How easy would it be to accidentally roll or throw that thing just out of habit?

And lawn darts are fun. They're just as dangerous as horseshoes, and they had us play horseshoes in gym in high school.
