I, Arbutus, Minister of Information to the Ungulate Revolution, with heavy heart, do bear witness to the below recitation of events agreed upon by UberHoof Liedt, Uniter of the Ungulates, and Kobuk, Leader of the Predator Resistance, and solemnly affirm that it was made in full sincerity.

I, Kobuk, leader of the Canine/Predator Resistance Movement, after much deliberations......

I, Alex, the TF-abused bystander and overtly confused carnivore, after moderating the discussions, have concluded the following statements are true and are made in good faith.

After hours of private talks in their respective chambers the leaders of both sides held many discussions. The balance of nature the Ungulates were aiming for was not happening. The predator’s resistance to the revolution was too undisciplined to be successful without too much collateral damage. Both sides were at a stalemate.

Communications were sent to both parties and after much protocol, the leaders decided to meet at a neutral location. Somewhere in a small cabin, deep in the woods of Hooftopia the parties met since the revolution began nearly a day ago.

Representing  the Ungulates were the UberHoofs Liedt, Uniter of the Ungulates and Kada-Ru, Ruler of Hooftopia. With them was their Minister of information, Arbutus, the Jackelope.

For the Predators came the Pack Leaders Kobuk, of the Canine/Predator Resistance Forces and Whiteshepard, Ruler of Furtopia. With them came Shapeshifter Transmorphologist Kaloth, of the Forces of Darkness.

For this talk’s moderator, each side decided on Alexandre, the Transformed and Abused Bystander, due to his unique position with both camps.

The discussion lasted hours. Kada-Ru and Whiteshepard fell into quiet contemplation and the more aggressive leaders Liedt and Kobuk played a long game of political give and take. Anger between these two upstarts were getting hot. During the discussions Alexandre had to repeatedly cease the talks so each side could cool off. Into the wee hours of the night the peace talks continued. The stalemate would end one way or another tonight.

The two opposing leaders were meeting for the last time.

A dreadful silence fell across the conference table as the commander of the Resistance, Kobuk, resplendent in his sleek fur, gazed levelly at the Ungulate leader Liedt squatting opposite him in a plod of green sweet-smelling grass, and, with a thousand sleek and horribly hoofed and clawed fighters to unleash furry war at their single word of command, challenged the hooved creature to take back what it had said about his den mother.
The Okapi stirred in its grassy knoll, and at that very moment the words, “Call now to order a lifetime supply of magazines at distributor prices” drifted across the conference table.

Unfortunately, in the Ungulate tongue this was the most dreadful insult imaginable, and there was nothing for it but to wage terrible war for days.
Eventually, of course, after their Utopia had been decimated over a week, it was realised that the whole thing had been a ghastly mistake, and so the two opposing battle armies settled their few remaining differences in order to launch a joint attack on advertising spam bots---now positively identified as the source of the offending remark.

For several more days the mighty armies tore across the empty wastes of the internet and finally charged screaming on to the spam bot they came across---which happened to be Google Marketing---where due to a terrible miscalculation of raw power the entire battle group was accidentally packaged and sold as plushy animals at a local toy store.

Those who study the complex interplay of cause and effect in the history of the furry fandom say that this sort of thing is going on all the time, but that we are powerless to prevent it.

'It's just life,' they say.

We should all reflect...  With misunderstandings comes fruitless war.  Pain suffering and even cake... So I say with much relief "Let there be peace!".  

So uhh, Apples and Hot Dogs here $1 each! *grins*  Who wants to buy one?

The biggest Thanks goes out to you, Liedt. Ever since you joined Furtopia, you've mentioned time and again in one form or another about how great ungulates are and how there should be a revolution. The staff planned for days to think of a good April Fool's joke, but nothing really seemed to click. As I mentioned elsewhere, your talk of revolution was just staring us in the face and we never saw it until I finally mentioned it to the other staff. Your revolution was a hit. The members enjoyed it. The whole revolution was YOUR idea. Thanks for making it a fun time.
