No matter where you have been before coming here, you are still quite welcome. Thanks to Ben we get a lot of 'newbies' from furry.ca.

I hope you enjoy Furtopia as well as you do there. Also, check out the rest of Furtopia. There are lots of things going on besides the forums! This is a great home away from home! '<img'>

Heya, FB.
Nice to see ya here. I see that you've got a web site on furtopia.org, so it's good that you're taking part in the board here atop that.
Enjoy. '<img'>

Thanks Kada-Ru, and yeah I checked a lot of furtopia already and, as Ben said, I elected to have my home here... ^^;

And what mostly attracted me was the possibility to use PHP/mySQL... You'd be suprirsed how hardly any server let you use that... x_x

But, so far, I have nothing but praise for furtopia. ^^

Thank you, Firebreath.

Whiteshepherd is the one with the knowledge for the php/mySQL stuffs. Any questions, feel free to ask him about adding/using them on your account. '<img'>

I might just have one question for him until I get my class next semester in advanced mySQL usage...
But it's not as if I can't live without it anyway... I shouldn't be too much trouble I think... ^^;;;
Or at least, I hope... ^^;;;;;;;;

(giggles) Uhm....Firebreath. I went to check out your website. I thought the way you have the different sections show up when I click on it. I have only one problem though. When I move down from 'gallery' the link stuff disappears and I can't click on anything. Is that because you haven't added anything to those yet?

That might be something to do with your browser, Kada. A lot of special little web apps work best for IE, it'd seem. If I recall correctly, you're using Netscape. That tends to still have some shortcomings, which show when a web designer gets rather fancy with their work.

Kada, I'm... not sure what you mean, but here's what I think you seem to mean because I don'T get what you mean, or at least I don't think so... o_o;;;

There's more or less 3 pages working so far...
Main page (main), the computer colored gallery page (gallery -> computer colored) and the character bio (about -> CHR Bio).

All the others do not have any content... So, if you'd try to access any other link, chances are that you will either end up on a "under construction" page, or a big pile of nothing... x_x

Otherwise, none of the links on the writings page have been done yet (because that'll be the last section to be built) nor many things on the "about" section...

And Ben:
We found out at school that Netscape 6 is more or less the equivalent of IE5, in terms of capabilities and compatibilities... And since I try to develop for IE5, it shouldn't be a problem if the browser's up to date... x_x

Heya FireBreath. Welcome to Furtopia I am the local Lupequine (wolf horse hybrid) Nice to see a new face here ^_^ I'm a bit of a Sci-fi nut and I do just about anything and everything relating to it.

Once again, Welcome aboard. Beware, Furtopia is actually an advanced communications network that utilizes the user's computers to fire off subspace communications to some far off planet!

Ahem, Anyways, Welcome ^_^

(giggles softly and takes Jadnar by the ears) Shhhh, no one is supposed to know anything about THAT!  '<img'>

I tried IE and I was able to click on the links. I use Mozilla. But when I clicked on the picture to get a larger view it only gave me the main section again and I could only see the small icon to the right of the thumbnails.

Thanks, Benjamin. I keep forgetting I can't see EVERYTHING with Mozilla! '<img'>

No prob.
I know Mozilla's been slow to catch up to IE in support of a number of things, but it's on it's way. They've been making a lot of progress with that software lately, and it's looking pretty good so far. '<img'>

I'm not so sure about that, myself. Mozilla hasn't been supporting a fair bit of CSS 2 until just recently. Netscape 6 was pretty hideous when it first came out, especially. They're still working on catching up to IE, it seems.

I actually tried Netscape 6 a few years back and hated it so much I went back to my Netscape 4.0 (or whatever it was) But, it kept crashing my system on shut-down so WS talked me into switching to Mozilla. I like it better and it doesn't crash my system on shut-down.  '<img'>

IE? I don't know why I don't like it. I just don't. I know a lot of people are using it and I am learning that when I make my webpages I have to do different things in them to get them to work right on IE. We live and learn!  '<img'>

Thanks a lot all of you for the warm and fuzzy welcome. ^^

And furtopia sends stuff to a distant planet? Ooooooooooooh... '<img'>
I'm liking this already... ^^
*grins*
Jadnar, nice to see another sci-fi nut here. ^^
Although my own style tends to bend a bit on the cyber-punkish side too... heehee... *takes cover*

And WhiteSheperd, thanks a lot for the heads-up. ^^
Good to see caring admins on a web server, for a change... ^^

And thanks bear paw, I'll sure try. -_^

Hey, it seems that I'm the only windows yuser that his computer just crashed 3 times in over 2 years, and one would be a "technical" crash (win2K just gave me an error message saying "system resources too low. please quit some applications" after I started Maya 4, 3DSMAX2.5, Softimage XSI 1.5, Photoshop 6, Illustrator 9, etc...)

And my weapons design are not that quite great, but I have some interesting packages... ^^
They'll be up this month... I,m currently jobless, therefore giving me lots of time for working on my site, but since tomorrow, I got a "test drive" for a pet shop... x_x
I can'T rpedict when I would be totally finished... But I'll try to put them up ASAP. ^^;

Alrighties ^_^ I'll be watching eagerly for them. I hope you don't mind that if I find a nice weapon desgin that I might borrow and modify it, if you do, I won't do it. ^_^

As I keep saying, I don't mind as long as credit is put where it's due. ^^
I,m usually very easy with the borrowing of my designs. After all, they ARE designs, which means they are meant to be used... So... yeah... ^^;;;

I usually run my computer for weeks at a time without rebooting it. I've got Win2K as well, and it's quite stable. Lock-ups are extremely scarce, but sometimes the computer needs to be rebooted if there seems to be something causing a memory leak somewhere and generally slowing things down. ':p'
