Knowing Cuddly Battleship Kattywampus was here, I should have said this earlier. I post as Flamez on teamartail.com's forums. I remember you popped in and posted pics of a Rouge the Bat "fursuit". Hiya... ._.;

I don't know, Artie never updates or anything. The forums are dying too, I've been looking for a somewhat lively community as nice as that one. I've found a lot of nice communities, but they were all kinda slow. Says a lot about the internet, eh?

Most people on the internet aren't interested in the communities all that much at all, it seems. Most just pass by on corporate sites or browse regular web sites and such, or explore some sort of odd fetish or somesuch. Even bulletin boards like this one have a heck of a lot of lurkers on them.
What keeps a good site going is to... keep it going. Heh. When the owner/admin of a site loses interest, that easily reflects upon a site and it will decline considerably over time.

You should see the forums at www.ddrfreak.com.  Those forums thrive like the dickens.  I'm a frequent poster there myself.

Oh, anyone that has AOL/AIM, IM me.  I'd love to talk to some fellow furs.

I sometimes post at ddrfreak, but I try to stay away from it. Once again, all of the nice communities are small, this isn't. One person in particular, which I will not give the least ammount of info about seeing that ecko will catch on right away and probobly beat me with a stick because, as a frequent poster there, it is his job to love him. *Is beaten anyway* Hmm, ok, anyway, he can say whatever the heck he feels, offend whoever he wants, and if the newbies realise that he is being totally unfair and revolt against them, the mods will warn that individual. Ok, this will give it away. He once said anime sucked. Just flat out, every anime is stupid because it is anime. Then, a week later, come back with, "omifugin god! download wolf's rain illegally because it rox0rs!". Wolf's rain, being anime, of course. And not just regular japanese animation, it's your stereotypical visual style with big eyes and such. Then, of course, his favorite animated motion picture would be spirited away, which is also japanese animation. I mean, people don't think, which is why I hate stereotypes. I don't hate people who use stereotypes, but I don't like them either (I don't hate anyone unless I have a darn good reason, so I hate nobody at the moment). Yes, anyway, just flat out saying "[this group of whatever] is all poo because of [whatever reason]" is just idiotic. Saying anime sucks because they have big eyes and fly and have super hyper beam gun of death cannons is stereotyping, because some of the best animation comes from japan (just look at studio gibli and series like cowboy bebop and wolf's rain). I hate stereotypes, they are stupid, people aren't smart to use them. I fall into many, many different groups, but I fall into absolutely no stereotypes. I'm a geek, an otaku, a fur, a gamer, and who knows what else, and if I told you this you'd probobly be surprised at how I look, probobly my appearance as well.

Ok, I've ranted enough, probobly offended some people. If I have offended anyone, I'm very sorry. I never mean to offend anyone, only to make people maybe think about my ideas and thier own. Not happy? Have a cute graphical smilie- '<img'> There, everybody super happy.

Blah blah blah....

Ante, you know I dislike BoD as much as you do.  probably even more.

Note: None of the following is meant to be taken in a  negative tone of thought.  Just a rant.

On the topic of  DDR Freak, the reason I frequent there is because its not so one sided.  Theres such a big mix of people there with their own views on topics, I cant just help bur revel on it.  I'm a glutton when it comes to opinion.  When someone posts about how much they hate something, I say "good for them".  If they want to scream their heads off on the internet thinking theyll make a difference, let them.  I believe everyone has a right to voice their opinion(the internet, as far as im concerned, is a Democracy), even if we dont agree with what they say.  Sure, you can disagree with them, but not ream them.  If they are stereotypical or hypcritical, forget about them , and let them wallow in their own corner of self indulgence.  It shouldnt be bothering anybody.

In terms of anime, im not much of an otaku, just a "light fan".  I like a couple of animes, but Im not one to go out and try to soak up as much anime as I can.  I let it come to me(channel surf).  The only anime I'm really a fanatic of is Outlaw Star.  I've never seen something so perfectly executed on TV in my life.  '<img'>

Whoo, I think I should ease up on these forums '<img'>   My posts are a wee bit in-depth and long.  ':blush:'

I don't see hate as an opinion, I see it as idiocy, and in his case he really wasn't thinking. I'd also edit out his name, I know Joel is lurking around here somewhere as well, and maybe even that other individual himself. I don't want to offend anyone, I just used him as an example, bad me.

As I said, I'm not your stereotypical otaku. I like studio gibli stuff and really good anime. If it doesn't have a good story or anything, it has to be comedy in order for me to like it (like dragonball and one piece). I also highly dislike huge cute eyes, they make me sick. Stuff like wolf's rain and cowboy bebop where they may be a little cute, but basicly resemble eyes is ok. Now Tenchi Muyo is a good anime, very funny, but I really don't like thier eyes. They look so wrong, mostly Sasami's and anyone related to tenchi (god, they have really, really wierd looking eyes, those Masakis). Stuff like slayers, god... I've never seen it and probobly never will. It's not possible for eyes that discustingly huge to fit inside of those girls' heads.
