Well, I've been looking for faux fur that's inexpensive and found some here:

My question is, do you know of anything cheaper than 25 bucks per yard? It's the most inexpensive I can find and it's very good for that. (the actual fur I'm looking at is here: http://www.fauxpawfurs.com/comp_lil02.jpg) Also, do you think that it's wise to order fur online, should I trust the place, ect ect...

Also, I'll need some of a shorter pile as well, but they don't have much short pile fabric thre. I'm looking for short pile as in a CM or so in length. Any ideas?

The lady at www.imstuffedfur.com is really nice, so I've been told by a fellow fursuiter. Her prices are more than fair, and she will be more than happy to send you samples. It's high-quality stuff.

Or you might get lucky and they have it at JoAnns. They had the off white I neededx there at $5.00 a yard then another 50% off fur right now.

$25 a yard?!?! OMG! I paid less than $16 a yard for mine, and it's Monterey Mills. Try a Hancock Fabrics. They can order MM fur (for a min order of $100.00 tho, however that is mix and match). My suit used MM fur just for the belly, however for my mate's suit, it will be all MM Fur (black and white), and my version 2 leopard suit will be all MM fur with airbrushed details. www.hancockfabrics.com is their site, and they have a store locator on it as well (closest one for me is an hour away, but the service I got there was well worth it!

Brown:

The 15 dollars a yard is the best I could find while looking online. The rest were 40-50+!!! Plus, it's extremely hard to find white and harder to find off white :/ Most are just patterns or lines.

Same thing I ran into when I was looking for leopard patterns...which is why Version 2 will be airbrushed on, so I can work the colors a bit better. Hancock had white, offwhite, cream and a coupla other colors when I went there, and I will always shamelessly plug them every chance I get *laughs*

They dont have many choices, but the greys look very good and are only $10. but Ive never tried this place so beware

I went to hancock fabrics to day and died and went to heaven.. I saw the 25.00 a yard faux and its worth every single penny!! They had some fantasy colors (blue or red underfur with grey gaurdhairs) and some of the most realistic faux wolf and coyote fur Ive ever seen. so soft I wanted to just wrap up in it and stay there..I really want to get some to make a blanket with.
Unfortunatly all that went home with me was 6.00 a yard plushy grey.
