I’ve heard about this. First time seeing it.
The blue screens that popped up were annoying. Banks was here usual self important B. The audience sounded supportive. Honestly, you'd get the same reaction if she was dressed in all latex and he as a asian school girl. Stop listening to Banks. Listen to the audience.
The totally cool things I think most furries don't bother looking for.
They are the ONLY monogynous couple. In love with each other. Not needed anyone else.
Every answer was quick and unashamed. To the point and positive. Noting to hide.
The audience reaction to this was far better than what i was lead to believe.
I don't understand all the hype or the reason to hide the fact that this act happens. This has always troubled me. Putting a spin on something that’s clearly out in the open and easy to find makes people distrust the fandom. The way I found out about the fandom was porn. Videos. My first reaction was a train wreck. Then to learn there’s strait and gay videos of this. That lead to the very well done computer anime of two critters in a barn. My fist reaction to that one was “someone with this much talent put out something like this?” I would like to point out that at this this time I’d been a furry for most of my life. Having a complete world of anthro characters. Never heard the term furry as a fandom or hobby. Now I just learned about furry threw videos. So I started researching fursuits. As a non furry and a non member of this fandom it was very easy for me to find builders offering vinyl sleeves, detachable parts and strategically located entry and exit holes. They are making full fursuits for this. It’s very easy to find. Then as a non member of this fandom I learn about conventions. There are conventions where thousands of these fursuits with strategically located holes get together. That was my fist thought. I put two and two together and got orange. Just like everyone else. After I learned the truth, more on this later, the hype I’ve heard to cover this up still bothers me. It’s like throwing blood in the water. Joe public is going to say,
“I’ve seen it. Why are you lying to me?”
The sets a continuum of distrust from people outside the fandom. Spin = hiding. No getting around that.
The truth. No spin.
People have been dressing up for this act for longer than recorded history. You can go on line or find retail shops that sell these wears. Fetish or fantasy, it’s been around for a long time. A fursuit is no different. It’s nothing more than an enhancement to a consensual act between two people.
Furry is.
Animals who act, react, think and do as people. Furry = people. Anthro needs to become a dirty word. It does little to explain anything. Cartoon animal is just as bad. Furry are animals who think and act just like people. The furry fandom are people who bring these people to life. They are people being people who look like animals.
So the answer to ‘does this happen?” is
Yes. Furry is nothing more than people who look like animals. They’re acting and reacting to each other as people. It’s no different than any other fetish or fantasy wear anyone can buy on line.”
question, ‘Isn’t dressing up as an animal bestiality?”
Answer. “Dressing up as an animal that is human makes you a human that looks like an animal.”
Get rid of the hiding and hype and you’ll get rid of the interest.
I have not nor do I have plans to ever participate in this action. My reason for posting this was to point out how hype and confusing information has caused more harm than good. Furry doesn’t need to be defended. It’s in need of better, more open and truthful explanations.
As far as I can see it. The two furrys in that vid deserve a lot of apologies.
