Yay! I wanna do a group poem! Will it be perfect? No! Will it still be awesome? Hell yeah! :)
When you add to the poem, just add one single line to it. Just one. I won't set a word limit, but try not to make the line too long. As the poem grows, I'll edit this post and put it all together so we can see what it's becoming! Also, try to add a lot of descriptive adjectives and nouns. They sound really cool! (also, if you want to discuss things here, just be sure to put them in parentheses or italics so we can tell them apart)
Here we go! The first line (and, yes, I'm ending with an adjective):
Crack. Sound of Winter, a gemmed
And here's the poem so far:
Crack. Sound of Winter, a gemmed
mask of sullen emotion basks in
cold light of the white hot sun. Standing on
shallow ground, I bathe with
a river stone, feeling smooth against rough, past against
present. As false pretenses fall away I stand
confident in my actions, but doubtful in my
resolve. The way ahead of me
is a straight line through a chasm of infinite possibilities, and I
stand ready to face the challenges,
aware of the lost world behind my stride. The
two-necked canyon flows with floods
