Hey...
Yeah, thats right, I dont know the first thing about poetry (I wish I would have not ditched english class repetedly when I was in school!) so Im not sure about the structure, or whatever its called. I know its simple, but hey, ya gotta start somewhere! I wrote this when I should have been working a few days ago, and went back and forth with myself about posting it or not... at any rate... welcome into my head!
Stealthy White Fox
It was a warm Southern night,
The air smelled like rain,
I had to keep driving,
Running from the pain,
I'd been alone for too long,
Trapped inside my box,
And thats when I saw her,
My stealthy white fox.
Her hair, long and platinum,
Danced in the breeze,
One look in her green eyes,
Brought me to my knees,
My eyes drifted down,
To her bare feet on the rocks,
I invited her in,
My stealthy white fox.
We traveled for miles,
Through the Tennessee hills,
We talked about everything,
Our hopes, fears, and thrills,
Her walls crashed down,
Like a pile of blocks,
I knew she was my soulmate,
My stealthy white fox.
We wandered the country,
In my old Cadillac,
We would dream in the front seat,
And play in the back,
The transmission would grind,
And the engine, it knocks,
But I felt invincible,
With my stealthy white fox.
We settled in Texas,
On the New Mexico Line,
I wrenched cars for money,
She sipped her red wine,
We lived our lives simply,
No surprises or shocks,
I was lonley no more,
With my stealthy white fox.
One morning I 'woke,
To find her not there,
I missed the heat of her body,
The smell of her hair,
I left everything I owned,
To find where she walks,
As Im eternally searching,
For my stealthy white fox.
