Gonna be a BIIIG art post today.
You nailed the "I-have-duty-and-I'm-really-bored-please-somebody-attack-so-I-can-finally-stab-someone-with-my-spear" look on his face. Did you pick that tartan for a reason?
Bahaha - yeah, I imagine I'd have a similar look while on guard duty. x)
Nah, no particular reason behind the tartan pattern for this one - just wanted some highland influence in there somewhere. I love the Scots and Irish in particular among a few others when it comes to historical ethnic styles: there's just a lot of robustness to it.
I have often thought it would be interesting to have a world with
anthro animal character societies. Might make the food chain difficult
but is interesting to think about, and makes for great stories, and
art that is food for our imagination.
Keep up the good work.
I was working on something of that sort a long time ago - a story that revolved around the idea of animals and humans both having proper sapience. I wouldn't go too far into it, but there would be a lot of differences with technology, social life, religion and warfare, among other things. It's really interesting to think about.
Saxon from the Mouseguard comics!
I always thought those old pictures of kids working in coal mines were really interesting: inspiring and a bit horrifying at the same time!
Meditation. Inspired by the game "Overgrowth".
An alternative rendition of a member of the Trench Gang - from the game "Tooth and Tail".
A little monster guy I drew up: originally it was going to be fanart of Manny from "Faceless Neil".
