Kobuk, what an awesome buy!

Four more paint brushes. Utrecht Tuscans. It's official. I've spent more for paint and brushes this year than I've spent for clothing in the last five years.  :D These brushes are a bit stiffer than the Silver Brush Bristlons I've been using.
Welcome to the spending obscene amounts of money on your hobby club.

But at least cause and kobuk you get something out of your hobby.
I've spent over maybe 5000 for various hobbies and it's no fun anymore.  What a waste. That's a fursuit cost or more.

The last thing I bought  was minutes for my cheesy cell phone.
And the obligatory candy bar + soda.

Didn't really buy, but went to the local food pantry today and got a bunch of stuff. But sadly, 10% of it I had to throw away as it was past the expiration date or it was stuff I didn't like and would never eat.

EDIT: Earlier today I did buy a few groceries from Walmart.

Bought a bunch of smelly oils. Or as they're known 'essential oils'. No idea why they're called essential. I've lived a very long time without them. Two box sets of these things. Gonna stink like cedar, birch, balsam, rosewood, eaglewood, nanmu, cypress, patchouli, sandalwood, frankincense and nutmeg. Why not.  :) Also have a proportional divider and a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Haven't been able to buy rubbing alcohol locally for a wile now.

Hans, been a member of that club for years now. Way to many hobbies.

Jade, I have over $200 in watercolor brushes alone. These brushes can't be used with any other kind of paints. Not counting how much was spent on the paints. Between $9 to $25 for a single tube. I can use the watercolor paper with acrylics. So there's no real loss there. I've got a basement full of boxes filled with abandoned hobbies. Given quite a few away. You never know what you'll get out of something until you try it. Unfortunately there's no Try It Before You Buy It hobby place. They all make to much money on people like us.

And speaking of tossing money to the wind. Finally got around to getting a new thermostat. Well actually two of them. And neither is the type I really want. The first one I brought home would only work on 2 or 4 wire systems. The second one is still in the box. Took my old one apart. Now the only way I can have heat is if I leave the fan on all the time. I can live with that. Until I can get somewhere that sells the non programmable, doesn't need batteries, one I want.

I tried to buy food essential suck as balooga cavier, Cuban cigars,  and a bottle of Bollinger 67.

Ok, ok,
I tried to buy cereal, milk,  a small bag of candy, some frozen chicken,  and unscented detergent and unscented  dryer sheets.
The store is habitually out of things.  I don't know why a need to social distance and wear masks causes people to stock pile.

I want to know from all non USA furs,  is this stockpiling mentality an American thing? I just don't get it.  I love being self reliant and having food caches.  But why try to stockpile so so much??

So I needed to buy food,  but went home with less than half of what I went out for.

I stockpile because I don't know if I'll have to quarantine or not. I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'd rather stockpile knowing I had sufficient quantities of something rather than finding later out that I ran out of something or ran low. Nobody knows how long this coronavirus will last.

Getting back to the word game..........
About $40 of groceries: Shampoo, Mouthwash, Breakfast items, and a 3-drawer plastic storage container.

More paint brushes. Two of them. Keep hearing a lot of good things about Rosemary @ Co.'s 'Ivory Synthetics'. The truth is there only so many filaments out there. Everyone uses the same for the hairs of their brushes. This white filament is the very same as the Silver Brush 'Bristlon's' I like. I got these just to compare them. Still haven't used them. But by looks the Rose and co's brushes are better made. And, despite the extra shipping cost, cheaper than the 'Bristlons' I like and have been using. Only makes sense I'll know more about them when I start using them.

I bought Ham radio junk.
Yaesu ATAS-120A antenna , Yaesu ATBK-100 ground plane radials, Diamond MX2000N Triplexer, Diamond K400C mobile mount with 6' rg-316 Teflon coax.
And I should have saved the money for other things like... anything else.
 x_x

I have jeans on that have holes, the house needs new interior doors, and so on and so on...
So apparently I should prioritize.  But I got a deal on these items (or at least I was told I got a deal).

Light bulbs and a fleece blanket.

I needed the light bulbs. Amazon was going to charge me $4  for shipping. So I bought a $30 blanket too. So I wouldn't have to pay for shipping.... :)  OK, I needed a new blanket too. Most of mine are almost as old as I am.

If I can get over $25 worth of stuff on Amazon, I can qualify for free shipping.

Today while at Wal-Mart.........bought a new 10" inch frying pan, a new small George Forman countertop grill, packet of address labels, 2 small boxes of mini muffins, and a package of hamburger buns.
