She was the angelic voice of a generation.  Growing up in the choir I was in, I looked to her as the standard for vocal control and clarity.  She truly was an inspiration to me, and to many, many others. 

As much as I usually don't care about celebrities, there are always a few that I genuinely feel sad about when they do pass away.  Whitney Houston was one of them.
