I saw it, too!  It wasn't much of a surprise, knowing what Google has done before.  I like when logos can be manipulated (when they are not so stringent), but Google goes all out with these things...

I remember watching reruns as a kid.  She was a comedy genius.  I loved the google doodle for her. I remembered a couple of the clips that were on there.
