Just curious if anyone else believes in them. I basically have no choice but to believe but I'm not exactly complaining :) Some of them are nice :D

I think it's crazy what our minds can perceive when we want them to perceive something... o_O That was...confusing.

That is the strange phenomenon...

<---- loves the Ghostbusters song.

As to the real subject, though:  no, I don't really believe in ghosts.  I do, however, believe that the universe loves irony.  So, it's generally a bad idea to put yourself in situations where bad things happening to you would be ironic.

As I see it, "paranormal" and "supernatural" are words some people use to describe things they don't understand and don't have good evidence to support. Whenever solid investigation is done, the answers found have always been normal/natural. When answers cannot be found, the correct thing to say is "I don't know".

In other words, no. It might be fun to think about, but no.

We've seen some strange lights out in the chickenhouse several times. We found out later there were graves somewhere on our property. There may be some ghosts hanging around our place.
You humans need to refine, alter, corral codify and measure things yes? Very well. I shall use your wristwatch to count out ten of your seconds. I suggest you use that time to run. For at the end of it I shall come for you and I will catch you and we shall measure the duration of your death... In screams.

Well, I seem to have a minor poltergeist following me, but I'm a clutz at the same time. So, maybe? not enough evidence on both sides...

Both sides?

Forgive me if this is wrong, but it sounds like you might not understand default positions and burden of proof.

Which is to say, the default position for any claim is to reject the claim until there is sufficient evidence. And the one making the claim has the burden of proof, meaning it's on them to present the evidence to support their claim.  We are forced by necessity to work this way because the number of possible claims is infinite.

In other words, there are not two sides needing evidence here, but only one and it is lacking.

Sort of.

I've never really had any definite encounters with the paranormal so I can't say for sure.

You would be surprised how astonishingly inaccurate memories like that can be. mere DAYS after the 9/11 people were not able to agree how many planes there were, or who perpetrated it. (And these were not even little kids; they were highschoolers - my Theory of Knowledge (the IB epistemology course) teacher had collected the responses and showed it to us, as evidence of how inaccurate memories (esp. for 'traumatic & sudden' events) could be.

I can't say I have ever experienced anything one might call
paranormal, but I have a open mind about it though.. No
point in saying "No such thing" untill one has proof one way
or another.

Many things thought impossible have been found to be true.

But there is no reason to accept them as true until someone at least brings some credible evidence to the table. Memories of sudden and/or traumatic events are definitely not reliable.

IE, saying that there is a teapot at earth's L3 point (opposite the sun in earth's orbit) would be a silly claim that you wouldn't be able to bring any credible evidence of, and nobody would have any reason to believe it.
Evidence first, then belief. Proof first, then knowledge.

that is incorrect application of the principles of deductive reasoning; simply having nothing more rational being readily apparent does not mean it has been eliminated.
