Nomination over, only one nomination. Independence Day is winner by default.

Unless we decide to extend it a month

As do I. We need an actual competition going here, and one nomination isn't going to work.

I nominate The Prisoner, by Kirby the Fox!

Tachyon needs some competition that... well... isn't Tachyon. :P

I'm working on a collab story with Yurodivy ^.^; And she's writing her own furry story as well! Hopefully they'll both be done soon.

I'm working on a submission for this month, as well. I've just been going through a dry creative period recently, mostly due to the cares and woes of university work.

As incentive, I offer to record myself reading the winning story, with the author's option of me placing said recording into an episode of my podcast. The winning author will receive a copy of this recording as soon after the judges' final decision as I can get it produced, in their choice of OGG, MP3, and/or WAV formats (WAV is huge, but it's uncompressed). This recording will be monophonic, and should be suitable for replay or rebroadcast.

Remember, time is running out. Get your nominations in now!

Ooh... that is an incentive. Unfortunately, with the way things are going, I probably would just end up submitting a lab report. So sad, so very sad...

But I'm still going to try! Well, not submitting a lab report. That would be profoundly dull.

Unless, say, you're working on some kind of secret transformation project, and you could somehow share with us your last scrawled notes. ^.^

I can't believe my luck. I got snowed in over the weekend, so I couldn't come in to campus to post. *sadfoxface*

Perhaps it's just as well. I have a couple short stories in limbo, but what I had completed in time was another fanfiction - a Pokemon story to be exact - and I don't want to turn Furtopia into my repository of such stories.

Unless anyone would be interested in that lab report?

Well, we haven't actually started judging yet (still), so if you hurry, we could probably accept a late submission. Since you have a reason. :D

Thank you for the offer, but I'm setting a limit for myself here. When next I post stories, I will continue at least one beginning of a previous story, and will post, completed, a self-contained short story. I'm trying to be a bit more disciplined, since I can never seem to finish what I start with regard to writing.

Maybe you just haven't found a story that you want to finish yet?

Oh no! Believe me, I want every story in me to be told. It's my energy and time that are the limiting factors; it is too often the difficulty just to get started on something again that has lain partially done for some time.

Simply put, writing is work. Enjoyable work, but work nonetheless, and I've a lot of other work that takes my energy before I can put it to storytelling.

And the winner is Independance Day, by Tachyon!

Although, the prisoner could've beat it had it been longer! (And the dialogue a bit more realistic!)

So well done Tachyon!

And well done Kirby the fox! Finish that story and give it to us! :D
