That sounds awesome! I'd love to go, but due to money and transportation issues, I don't think I could make it... plus my parents would probably have a similar reaction to the one Jez described. Ah well, maybe next year.

mmmm....  Yeah -- it would be cool but that's way too far of a drive for me, especially with my car ':dead:'

I'm interested in attending. Maybe we can have our own version of Feral?

Too far for me at this time.  Sounds like a great place though.  Must stay focused on MFM.

I would love to be able to go, but I live way up in Canada and I don't really have any transportation or money for this summer.  ''

So, do we have a possible date yet? AC is just in a month and Feral is in the 3rd week of Aug, MFM the first week of Sept... I mapped it out and it's under a 6 hour drive for me, so depending on the date I'm in!

Edit: If it's a date I can attend you can put me down for helping in any way I can  '<img'>

Back on my paws and ready to get out and have some fun.  Keep us up to date on the plans.  I also can lend a paw in planning, hauling (possibly, if I get the van back in time) or operationally.

Ok for setting a date far enough ahead.  How does everyone feel about Aug 5 on a Friday?  We'll camp over the weekend with some good cooking and caving. '<img'>

That sounds good to me! It's far enough ahead that I should be able to get off work for the day.

I'd like to go.

If I do, I'd be traveling from SE Texas, in case anyone is en route.

OK, I might as well throw in my bit of news.  I've more or less resolved on flying out to Michigan on 30 July or 1 August to get together with HKR.  We can then drive down from Michigan and be there easily by 5 August - with enough time to spare, I daresay, to pick up other furries along the way.  We are also already planning on visiting Virginia (as you already know, Sporty); possibly we could do so on the way to Kentucky instead of on the way back as was my first thought.

The Aug. 5 weekend's a possiblity; don't know for sure yet.  Do we need to/can we make reservations at the campground?   Does the park know about this, so fur campsites can be grouped together?

Mono and I will be there, but we won't be able to pick any furries up along the way.  I'm sorry if you were going to rely on us to get you there, but after a careful look at our options and plans, we both realized we wouldn't be able to do it.

Rrrr.  This is one time living in Canada sucks (besides the winters '<img'>).  See, if I still lived in Windsor/Detroit, I could just drive down (providing I could rent/borrow a car).  But nooooo, I have to live in Saskatoon **grump**

Eh.  Anyway.  Sounds like fun youse guys ^__^

The Canadian Furtopians should host something, mebbe in Banff or Assinaboine '<img'>

The fact that I moved considerably further from Kentucky and the cost of the move I'd have to say this one is out of the question, much as I'd love to come chill with you guys again.

Move here for better visibility of those who wish to go.

I called Carter Caves.  They do not take reservations so we'll try to get there early Aug 5th and reserve a decent site with shade.

Don't forget to bring a pair of OLD shoes (new shoes may set stained) and a nice set of knee pads are a glory send when your doing heavy-crawing caving.  Note the types of caving will be up to you.  There are caves with paved paths and caves you can walk through natural and then there are the caves you will REALLY squeeze/swim through at times.  Outside it is beautiful and lots of great hiking with lots of great things to see.  Horseback riding is also an option.  Anyone up for a camp out cooking contest?
