Just got back from this con. MAN did I have a blast! Was able to do my favorite thing. Learn about other peoples fursonas. TOTALLY AWESOME! I talked to a good hand full of fellow furs. The hotel and con space was great. Lots of space to spread out. And you never had to walk outside to go to eat. Lots of choices from the casino. And speaking of talking to furs. A member of the hotel staff walked up to me. Told me she had spent a few hours talking to people from this fandom. She was having a great time with it all. I took lots of vids and a few pics. Be putting things together and uploading soon. There are vids of this con already on Youtube.
Still a small and personal convention. Well run and put together. Plenty of stuff to do and see. Even for a non drinking furry like myself. I went to or visited most of the panels. Well run. The hotel itself is awesome. I had a regular room. When I opened the door I walked into what looked like a small apartment living room/kitchen. With it's own TV. I thought there was a mistake and I got the better end of it.
The door from this room opened up into what would be a standard hotel room. With a second TV. The con space itself was great. Lots of room. Never felt crowed or cramped. Elevators! Four of them! Never had to wait more than 45 seconds. I did have one glitch on me. It stopped short of the landing. Had to hit the call button. The elevator righted itself after what seemed like a long time ( yep, panic.
) In reality just enough time for me to wait a few moments. Push the call button. The phone to ring twice. For me to hear "How can I help you." For me to say, "The elevator is...Never mind. It righted itself. The doors are opening. Thanks!" Actually it was kind of fun.
There were a few con glitches. But nothing caused by hotel or con staff. Two panels were canceled. There were some hotel guests howling loudly in the middle of the night. Jut to be joined in by a hand full of well intoxicated furries. Can always say. "They started it."
