Some of my old poems
« on: October 18, 2013, 08:13:58 pm »
So after a little digging in my virtual filing cabinet I found these and decided to share them with my Furtopian brothers and sisters! So for your enjoyment...

            Thievius Raccoonus

His skill beyond that of any elite
The heist leaving his pockets heavy with jewels
The raccoon stood there, the true master thief
Masterminds and thugs, all taken for fools

Gold coins, jewels, and even precious lockets
Not even his true love, could his thieving block
All things of value, taken from pockets
His deft fingers and pick, could break any lock

Sneaking in, stealing without harm
Gripping his cane with a very firm hold
A holster on his leg, yet no firearm
Criminals and cheats, was from whom he stole

He faced no grand audience, no onlookers
The one and true master thief, Sly Cooper

The Dance of Panda and Tigress

She with a sharp claw
for title would fight any brawl
but in a flash of light, was taken by Panda.
Enraged was Tigress
feeling robbed of her destined fate
wished only to meet him in violent embrace.

Trying to reclaim her title, narrowly dodged death’s embrace
faced against the evil leopard’s claw.
The outcome of the fight was merely fate
having lost the brawl.
Beaten and bruised, returned Tigress
sent to defeat the evil leopard was Panda.

Victorious emerged Panda
met with entourage and friendly embrace.
Bowing to the new master with a smile, was Tigress
with retracted claw
seeing he had won the brawl.
She now with peace, accepted fate.

But events to come soon tested fate.
An evil peacock to be defeated by Panda
soon to be on their hands, another brawl
again would begin the waltz of violent embrace.
Even though she armed with sharp claw
the company was captured, with their leader Tigress.

Defeat and dejected, in the rope corset felt Tigress
Unable to escape, she felt death was now her fate
but then came the hero of black, white, and no claw.
The hero of this day, Panda
freeing her from the rope’s vile embrace
she was tired but ready for the brawl.

She fought the horde off, while Panda and peacock did brawl
The henchmen did fall, at the hand of Tigress.
While the clawless hero dodged the knife’s embrace
alas death and defeat was the peacock’s fate.
Emerging once again in a flash of light was Panda.
The two stood there, with tired paws and claws.

On the boat home resting her claws, exhausted from the brawl.
On the deck she stood accepting fate, then along came Panda
Tigress accepting him now, met in friendly embrace.

Tell me what you think...
