My first poem
« on: August 31, 2003, 07:12:31 pm »
well this is my first attempt at a serious poem. i wud like sum opinions please that wud b nice.

Priceless

The smile on a friends face
That wipes their tears away
The sound of their lauhter
That drowns away the sound of their sorrows

To walk into a room
And not be laughed at
To be accepted for who you are
No matter how you look or what you do or say

To look up at the stars
With your love wrapped in your arms
Then to look into their eyes
And say you love them and mean it

This is the life that others take for granted
They cannot see beyond the face of another person
The outer shell is all thats important to them
And they judge that and never look back

i guess i was just writing what came into my head when i thought of the word priceless and the shallow people that take these feelings for granted.

That was very heart felt, Rikimaru!

And it is so very true and it is sad that it is true that some people only look at our outer shells and not at what the person really is deep inside. I have found a lot of furs that I have met, look for what is inside the person and not what they look like. That is why I feel so comfortable in the fandom. I felt it the first con I ever went to!

I'm not saying there are not those types in the fandom because I know there are. I'm just glad that the fursons I have had the pleasure of meeting in RL have not been that way.
