I don't know anyone that's actually got one myself. But my current understanding on them is it's just the chrome browser as an OS. I'd rather have something that's a bit more functional personally if true. Which were you thinking of getting?

I'm personally not a fan of Tablets, Netbooks, etc. They're all just hype and marketing ploys to me, I can just get a normal laptop with better specs for the same price. It's kind of sad to see how "hipster"-e the computer world has gotten. It's starting to get to the point were it's like "I don't care if it works well or if it's way over priced, but at least it's one good looking and stylish paperweight :D" The only reason I'd get a netbook is if my definition of a game = solitaire, and the only thing I'd use it for is word processioning. Even then I'd probably just get a 5-yr old laptop for $50 or something like that instead.

My opinion, just get a normal laptop for about the same price and most likely better specs.
