Getting ready to take an inventory or all my water color supplies. Paints, brushes, pallets and all. Someone at work has a family member who does water color.

Took Wanda to vet. Unknown what is causing her issues.
She gets special food, 2 meds, and is being watched closely.

It is new Years Day and I am expected to work, yet not required?!?!  What am I supposed to do?  The unwritten rules of being salary?  This is stupid!

I vote to not work.

I am currently trying to figure out what to do with my dog Wanda.  She is ill with digestive issues again, after being to the vet and having special food and meds.  No clue what to do to help her out.

I'll vote the same way Jade.

Finally sitting down and making replicas of old Japanese Christmas putz houses. Keeping them simple in design. After assembling the cardboard I'll paint them white. Then cover them with clear glitter. Paint that with a mix of acrylic paint ( cheap craft paint works just as well ) and mod podge. When that dries put a second light coat of mod podge on and sprinkle with the clear glitter again. No need to go out a try to find glitter in colors that you want. Especially when your trying to match the funky odd colors that were originally used. Like the really old ones I'll be putting cellophane in the windows and doorways. Each house's back wall is mostly open. Leaving just enough cardboard to act as a frame. These houses will be used as tree ornaments. The open backs will allow light to shine through.

Yes you can make these furry! Instead of using cellophane for the windows and doors use printed pictures of favorite anthro characters. Even make the front of the house as a single window. So when the light shines through you see Winne the Poo. Or Robin Hood. Or anyone else you want. Yes! Even Rudolph.

Still playing around with the Japanese putz houses I'm making. Want to keep these as cheap as possible. Recycled cardboard and things I already own. Don't have colored cellophane sheets. Going to use white crepe paper for the windows and doors instead. Another change I'm making. Going to combined the old Japanese putz houses with the old German snow putz houses look. Why not. They'll have the glitter for the house and roof color and be covered in thick snow. With larger than life icicles hanging down from every angle of the roof.

The snow is nothing more than toilet paper and slightly watered down PVA  ( Elmer's ) glue. Icicles are made from the same. All covered with white paint and glitter. Don't bother buying snow texture paint. it looks chunky and really nothing like snow. It's also an extra expense you don't really need. Painted toilet paper and glue looks better.

If your interested in putting figures around the houses try looking for mini cake decorations. Best part the size of the figure doesn't have to match the size of the house.

Still playing around with those putz houses. Tried the mix of German and Japan. Not going to work. Well it works physically but not ornamentely. No for me anyway. So I'll be either scrapping or, if I can, salvaging that one. Really just want the off beat and cheesy look of the old Japanese cardboard houses. Even the colors they used.
