Should we do anything about Ethiopia?

Idk if this goes here or the debate form. Anyway anyway we hear about starving children and how the government sucks. Is there anything we can do? My dad says they shut down shipping? Or something like that he also says that we should just let them be and how we've spent thousands of dollars on war. But can we do something to help that doesn't involve war?

As much as some people and governments would like to do something, I'm afraid most people around the world right now are more concerned about stopping the spread of coronavirus and taking care of their own citizens before we go and help another country.

I was surprised to learn that Ethiopia recently cleaned out their arsenals. Hundreds of classic and collectible WW2-era rifles. Basically, old Mauser bolt-action rifles and a number of un-refurbished M1 carbines. The latter were offered--depending on condition--from $900 to $1200! A dealer may add a 10% markup, or more.
