What kinda' web browsers do you guys use?

Me personally, I use Chrome, and I haven't really encountered major problems at all since I made my switch about 2 years ago from Firefox.

I primarily use Firefox.
Secondarily I use Opera.

I have every one you listed, plus Opera and Netscape (last one they released), though.

Firefox, Firefox, Firefox, Firefox…

I’ve been using Firefox for over 9 years, all the way back to early 2003 when it was called Phoenix.
And somewhere around 2004 / 2005 Firefox, (then Firefox 1.1) was pretty much my primary browser.
The only time I used anything else was when I ran into a site that could not be viewed using the Gecko engine, which was an issue at the time.

I currently use Firefox 10.0.2
And am testing Firefox 11.0

Gues I'm gonna be the lone I.E. holdout. Running I.E. 8 since it's the last one they offered on Windows XP. Been on it since I've been active online (around Windows 95 I think?). Only one site I go to doesn't work on it, so I do have Firefox for that one and that's it. Version 8 of that as well and I refuse to update. I don't really care for the look of the version I have, and I've seen the newest version and I think it looks pretty bad visually. So really I don't see much reason to change. :P

Sorry but that doesn’t make any sense, Firefox 8.0 and the current stable version 10.0.2 all have the same default interface.

Is it possible that you meant something else?

Windows XP? IE 8? I suppose it's possible you won't pick up any malware that hoses your hard drive and/or siphons your credit card details to East European identity thieves but... wait, no, that's not possible. x_x Seriously though, I can think of a few very good reasons to change.

I think he means the latest unstable version, whatever that is right now, 12 or something. I can't keep track anymore. (I thought 9.0.1 was the current stable version?)

I'll see if I can get a screen shot of what I'm talking about. My mate got a notice that FF had an update, and after the update, the interface just looked and felt.... whacked (to borrow a term from the 80's/90's). Not sure exactly which version it is she's using, but I like a nice simple clean look. Heck, I have Windows set up with the "Classic" theme. I don't want all that frilly color stuff distracting me. As for the security, I keep things patched up, run anti-malware programs and such, and I know where I'm going online. If I were doing a lot of site hopping to places that have questionable intent, sure I'd consider another browser.

I use firefox and just update it when it bothers me about it. I've tried chromium (and chrome) just to see what I thought, but I never switched because I never had any issues in the first place. I used to use opera a really long time ago, then ie for a little bit, and I switched to firefox around the time it released. I also used to have safari as one of my backup browsers just to check if issues with some sites I was on were specific to certain browsers, as they were constantly changing skins and adding/removing/altering bits of code.
-I still can't think of anything.

I used Firefox for a long time, but when I was primarily using a netbook, there were some changes to Firefox that gave it a lot of bloat I was trying to get away from in IE.  I switched to Chrome at that point because it worked a lot better on my machine.  I'm pretty much permanently with Chrome now, thanks to the Sync With Google Account feature.  That's a BIG one for me, and it doesn't require an add-on.  Firefox is still a great browser (not aware of the supposed "bloat" concern status for the current version) but I'll take Chrome.

I can't live without my ~50 or so firefox addons, and 'bloat' isn't something I'd really notice anyways given that I bloat it myself with addons I need anyways. Even my phone has a mobile version of firefox.

I also keep the other browsers on my computers strictly for debugging purposes.

You mean my choice is limited to one?

Chrome is my main browser.
I use Firefox for the firebug plug-in.  Invaluable for the web development QC work that I do.
And of course I use IE, because I have to for somethings at work.

Oh yes, and I use Dolphin on my Android phone at the moment.  Though I may switch to Chrome there as well in the future.

Using Firefox to browse for information on people who use Firefox to look up what other Firefox users do when using Firefox to search for info on making Firefox addons… may result in you becoming a Firefox. :orfox: :orfox: :orfox: :orfox:

I used Internet Explorer up until about last year, then I went to Firefox but had problems with it, so I switched to Chrome and have loved it since.
