You certainly *do* need a form of parental consent to attend the Con. Make sure you get them to sign whatever waivers/forms they need to that are listed on the Further Confusion website before you leave.

As for riding with another fur to California...well, it's really a matter of trust. I entirely understand the hesitation of your parents and friends. Personally, I think furries are a rather harmless (if strange) bunch, but it totally depends on what you think of the guy your going with. Us furtopians attending FC will help watch out for you when you get there, if need be. Just be careful and don't take any risks.

As for Nikko, Gemma and firewolf: I called the hotel today and confirmed the reservation. Everything is set and ready to go. All you guys need to do is show and we'll be on our way.

Also, we probably ought to have a furtopian meet-and-greet for those of us attending. I've never been to this hotel, nor do I know what room we will be in. But we could probably establish a time once we get there, unless anyone knows of a good 'common place' where we can all meet Friday or Saturday morning/afternoon/evening. What would work best for you?

hmm. This is my first time being at the hotel as well. The only place I can think of right now is either at the main enterance of the hotel or the somewhere near the front desk. Also, would Friday or Saturday noon work?

The hotel has a very large, extended first floor with numerous potential meeting places - but, the most obvious place by far would of course be the main lobby: a big room by the main entrance, with the hotel registration desk on one side, a small number of chairs by a fireplace on the other, and hallways branching out in three directions.

So, I may or may not be able to join you all (depends on other committments), but I think somewhere in that room would certainly be the most logical place to meet.

Nikko, Far, Gemma, and I made it to the con safe and earlier than expected (thank goodness no traffic).

not much is going tonight, except registration and whatnot.
